foods

Two things you may need to know about me:
1) I am obsessed with food and am always thinking of what to eat. For me, it is not just about eating food that gets me excited, it is what foods help your body heal and restore itself.
2) I am obsessed with my skin–especially my face. I suffer from the dreaded AA (adult acne, hormonal imbalance), and am very cautious of what products I put on my face and what foods I am eating.
Spend at least 5 minutes with me, and I guarantee I will start to talk about one or the other–or fashion, can’t forget my obsession with that! I will pick your brain on your beauty regime and what works or does not work for you. I wanted to share with you a few key foods for healthy skin and help fight acne.

Green Tea
Not only a great detox for your entire body, but helps fight against acne. Loaded with lots of antioxidants, especially polyphenols. The antioxidants find the toxins (bad bacteria) in your body and fights them before they attack your skin. It also helps bind your hormones together, which can also  have anti-cancer effects. It will reduce the inflammation of the skin and help heal open wounds. When our insulin or blood sugar levels are high, it can cause acne. Green tea will help reduce your levels and bring them back to normal.
