It was hard to get back to reality today after the long weekend. My weekend was really relaxing. On Friday I went to the new bar/restaurant called The Walrus, located in downtown Columbus. The atmosphere was good and the food was amazing! I had the prosciutto roll–chicken stuffed with mushrooms, pineapple, and queso fresco, wrapped in prosciutto. SO good! I also spent the weekend working out, watching a lot of Netflix, and drinking little too much wine. I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Now that we are back from our little mini vaca, I thought I share a few products that I have added into my beauty regime that I am loving.

Clarisonic

How did I ever live without this? For a long time I heard great things about it, but, as I have mentioned before, my skin is sensitive so I had some reservations. So happy I tried it! My face feels smooth and exfoliated. I will say after the first two uses I was breaking out a little more than normal, but I believe it is from actually getting the dirt out of my skin. After using it for 3 weeks now, I noticed my breakouts are less. I opted to get the Mia 2 because of the two speeds–the Mia 1 only has one speed. I wanted the two speeds incase the faster speed was irritating my skin or the slower speed was not enough for me. I like options, what can I say. I also bought the acne cleansing brush to replace the brush that it comes with. It targets sensitive acne prone skin–it was made for me. To use the device, you first place your cleanser on your face like normal (I still use my Checks and Balance cleanser, which is foamy, make sure your cleanser is foamy while using the Clarisonic), then hit the button to start, and move the Clarisonic in small circles around your face. It times how long you should stay on certain parts. Start with your forehead, then your nose, one cheek, then the other, and finally your chin.

Sephora

Nordstrom

I am so glad I got one! I now know what all the fuss is about and it’s for a good reason.

Sole Serum

I was introduced to Sole Serum a few months ago and I couldn’t wait to try it. If there is one thing I am wimp about, it is my feet hurting from my shoes. Gone are the days when my feet were tough from dancing all day, now they are a bunch of wimps. So what is Sole Serum? It is a liquid that you rub on the area of your foot that hurts and then you go on your merry way. When I first heard of the product and tried it, I was skeptical, but so far it has worked for me. Us women need anything that will help us stay in our fancy shoes all day and all night. I keep it in my purse at all times incase of a foot emergency, which happens a lot…

Murad Skin Perfecting Lotion

I was strolling through the aisle of Sephora— so dangerous– and I stumbled upon Murad’s Skin Perfectin Lotion. You had me at SP! It renews the skin by hydrating and evening out skin tone and texture. It also minimizes pores and controls oil. Sold! I am already seeing my acne spots start to fade. To be honest it is not enough of a lotion to keep my face moisturize  nd it leaves my skin feeling  a little dry, so I apply my normal face lotion on top of it. Right now I only have samples of it, as I wanted to test it out before buying it, but I am happy with the results so far and will be buying the bottle soon.

YES To Pore Perfection Brightening Peel

When it comes to peels and masks I will stop at nothing to try it out. It’s fun to feel like you are at an at spa at home. Anyway, Yes To Pore Perfection Brightening Peel I have used a few times and like it. It has grapefruit extract and vitamin C to even out skin tone and rejuvenate the skin. YES To is known for natural beauty products so I knew this peel will be great for my skin. I haven’t used it enough to see real results but after use my face feels great.

Library of Flowers

During the day my hands get a little dry and I always need to carry handcreme around. Library of Flowers, not only has a pretty design, it has been my go-to hand lotion for a while. It is made of coco butter and shea butter, which we all  know is great for our skin. The ingredients are all natural so I am not afraid to touch my face after applying it onto my hands. It absorbs quickly into the skin and does not leave my hands feeling oily or that heavy feeling you get with some lotions. It has a little bit of a scent to it, but nothing that is overwhelming.

boscia B.B Cream

When I was at the Create + Cultivate conference in early August, I was talking to a beauty expert about my skin. She told me that she uses boscia B.B Cream everyday and swears by it. The cream is design to shade the uneven skin tones, pores, and fine lines, while repairing damage to the skin and protecting from further damage with SPF. I was looking for a concealer that will even out my skin tone. I went to my local Sephora–the answer to every question–and picked up a bottle. I do not use it everyday as I try not to put too much on my face, but when I do I love it! It gives me a great base and really does cover up and even out my skin.
