The other day I was walking around Grandview with my mom. We shopped, had lunch, and enjoyed the beautiful spring day. I recently received this dress from J.McLaughlin and couldn’t wait to wear it. To be honest I never wear anything this baggy. I usually like to wear something that is tailored or at least has some shape to it. The reason I decided on this dress was because I loved the pattern and I wanted a dress that I could wear on a hot summer day when I am not sticking to my clothes–this dress is perfect for such a day. I also wanted something different in my closet instead of my trusty shifts and A-line dresses. I am happy I did get this dress! It is so cute and so comfortable! While I was walking around Grandview I got so many compliments on it!
For days when I feel I need a more tailored look, I would put a belt on it to singe the waistline. I played around with a nude colored and a brown colored belt–both I thought complimented the pattern well. What I love about this dress is that it can easily be dressed up or dress down. I can see myself wearing it to the grocery store and dinner out with friends!
