Is there anything more patriotic than a blue and white striped dress? I am so excited for the long holiday weekend and all of the celebrating that is about to commence. I have my plans almost set and my red, white, and blue attire all figured out. One outfit that I am wearing this weekend is this one shoulder ruffle striped dress. It’s been a long time since I have worn anything that is one shoulder, so I thought I would shake things up a little. Lately it seems more and more silhouettes are focusing on the shoulders, such a refresher from having too many seasons of the bare midriff…..over it. Showcasing the shoulder(s) is much more sophisticated. However, what really drew me to this dress is the ruffle detailing. I am always drawn to a feminine touch, whether it is a bow, ruffles, or lace. I find such details to add more value to an outfit. This dress, to me, is feminine, dressy, and casual. And I have to say, it’s one of the most comfortable dresses I have worn. Which will be perfect for all the celebrating this weekend has to offer.
