On Saturday my parents and I drove down south to Chillicothe, Ohio to visit our family’s farm. The farm has been in our family since the 1800’s. Throughout the years the farm has changed. Land has been sold off and gained. We have broken down barns where people who used to work on the farm lived that now serves as a storage for equipment. We once even had a school house. We used to be a cattle farm, but now we focus on corn and hay. Most of my memories of the farm are from when I was little, when we would go down more often. As a child I loved to visit and remember getting so excited/scared to pet the cows. As time went on, my sister and I grew up, trips to the farm started to be few and far between. Life happened. But I have always loved the farm, and feel proud to have something this special as part of my family. And this past weekend’s trip was perfect. It was the most beautiful day, the birds were chirping, and we saw two elks. The whole day felt peaceful.
For the relaxing day at the farm I wore my new striped shirt from Saint James. I have been wanting a Saint James shirt for, oh I don’t know, EVER! The shirt is unisex, so even an XS (which is what I am wearing) is still baggy. Think boyfriend fit. I have a pretty good collection of striped shirts and I have to say, this one quickly became my favorite. Mostly because it is red and the rest of my striped shirts are blue, but also because it is not only chic, but so comfortable to wear. I now want a Saint James shirt in every color.
