When I was visiting Atlanta a few weeks ago one of the things I wanted to see the most was the Swan House. I first came upon this beautiful house while stalking scrolling through Instagram. It is an historic center in Buckhead, GA. Buckhead, by the way, is jaw-dropingly gorgeous with huge houses and lots of trees. I almost tucked and rolled out of the car hoping someone would either adopt me or marry me. Anyway, the Swan House has been around since the 1920’s and was owned by the Inman family, heirs to cotton fortune. Now you can tour the house and get a glimpse into their southern lifestyle of the 20’s and 30’s. Each room is designed to represent different lifestyles and activities— parties, tea time, children rooms, servants living quarters, the kitchen. It was all so beautiful and interesting. They even had what the family would have worn during these times.

Outside of the mansion (the backyard) they have vintage cars, and I of course had to do a little photoshoot to capture it all–what kind of a blogger would I be if I didn’t? I decided to wear this beautiful Lilly Pulitzer dress as I thought it matched perfectly to the 20’s theme because of the delicate beading. I absolutely love this dress. Perfect for fall weddings or even special events in the spring and summer time. The beading, like I said, is gorgeous. I love intricate detailing like this. The dress is also comfortable and the length is a little longer than my other Lilly shifts, which I like. This dress I know I will pull out in 5 or 10 years to wear.
By the way, while taking pictures a security guard pulled up in his golf cart after getting a call from someone. Apparently we weren’t allowed to take professional pictures….always breaking the rules 😉
