Over the weekend I crossed over the bridge to Brooklyn for a holiday celebration. The party was held at this cute speakeasy lounge called Le Boudoir. The decor was victorian with red velvet seats with gold accents. It was all very picturesque.

The party was held by a couple from my hometown who I have not seen in a while– probably not since I left NYC. Anyway, the party was intimate and most of the people there were from my high school. It was so great to catch up with everyone and spend time with them.  The couple hosting the party had little jingle bell necklaces for us and Santa hats, along with lots of champagne and yummy hor d’oeuvres. The whole night was lovely and a lot of fun!

I wore this two-piece lace outfit to the party as the dress code was “festive attire encouraged”. You can never go wrong with wearing all black to any party and the lace and peplum top combo made the ensemble a little more dressier. I bought this top and pants in anticipation of a holiday party and knowing that the beauty of this outfit is that I will wear either, or together, the top and/or bottom for months to come. I am planning on wearing the bottoms to Christmas eve dinner with a nice blouse and probably statement earrings.

Anyway, staying on the holiday theme, this crossbody purse from Rebecca Minkoff has been a nice festive touch this holiday season. It is a limited addition to their special holiday collection. I won it a few weeks ago at a networking event and knew it would come in handy to spice up an outfit. The bag is actually a camera bag but honestly works as a regular crossbody bag– no one would know.

Ladies if you have been dying to wear the new Les Bonbons trend but can’t afford the real version— Baublebar has a lot of cute options that are affordable for you! I currently have this pair (seen above), but am also on the wait list for this pair!
