“Realize how blessed you are”
Happy Friday!! With it being a short week it sure felt long. Needless to say I am happy it is the weekend. I was planning on going to the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic tomorrow but plans fell through. I am pretty bummed about it. It is on my bucket list to attend a polo match. There is always next year! I will still have a wonderful weekend though! Tonight I am going to happy hour with a few friends then to a rooftop party. Tomorrow I am doing a double workout (#helpme) and hopefully meeting up with a friend for dinner. I am also going to The Met with my roommate to see the Comme des Garcons exhibit (which was the theme for the Met Gala).
This past week I attended an event with Fohr Card— one of the agencies I am affiliated that connects me to brands for collaborations. The event was more like a lecture on growth and authenticity. It was interesting and I learned a few things. It also put my mind at ease about this whole Instagram algorithm rumors that is getting out of hand. A few of my blogging friends were there that I have not seen in a long time, so it was nice to catch up with them!
The rest of the week was all work, work, work. I mentioned in last week’s FSS that I was detoxing myself from sugar and alcohol for two weeks. The alcohol was easy to sustain from but sugar, holy moly that was hard. I ended up only lasting a week without sugar. I limited myself to only a little this past week, but it was hard. The only reason I broke the detox was because my throat was hurting again and I desperately needed honey. Then it all just escalated from there; a little chocolate here and there, a lb of honey in my tea…. what can I say I have a major sweet tooth. Anyway, I am glad I did it and my gut feels better and my face cleared up (the reason why I did it). I missed sugar and lets face it, mama needed a cocktail reeeeaaalll bad the other day– I will be happy once I get my glass of rosé tonight!
Hope you have a wonderful xo
