“sometimes in the wind of change we find our true direction”
Happy Friday!! I am still in Columbus visiting my family (until tomorrow). It has been a wonderful week and I am so grateful for it. The week started off with my niece’s baptism. She wore a 200 year old dress from France that has been passed down through generations. I was the last person who have worn it. After the baptism we had a celebratory party at my parents house. The entire day was wonderfully special and I know my 6 month old niece had a great time.
The 4th of July was amazing. We started the day with watching the Upper Arlington (my hometown) parade, which I thought was pretty good this year. Afterwards I hopped around town from party to party to catch up with friends. At night I watched the fireworks near the park. I love the 4th of July and this year did not disappoint! The entire week was not all party, party, party– we went to the pool, went shopping, relaxed at home, worked out at SOS (which I about died during), and went out to lunch with my grandma, aunt, and cousin. It has been nice to take a little break from hectic New York, the blog, work, and other responsibilities. I finally had time to read my book and catch up on some sleep. It has been a pretty great week! I am sad to leave, but also excited about going back to New York.
This weekend, like I said, I am traveling back home to NYC. I get in late Saturday night so I will not be out and about. This coming week I have an event with Who What Wear, an event with Nordstrom, and hopefully getting together with a few of my blogging besties. Don’t forget to follow along on my Insta Stories!!
Have a wonderful weekend xo
