Say it isn’t so! Is summer really almost over? Although I enjoy the fall and love the holidays, I am not ready to say goodbye to the sunshine season. I had a pretty great summer and do not want to see it end. I know the season officially ends on the 22nd of September, but Labor Day weekend is the unofficial start to fall. At least it feels that way. Goodbye summer Fridays, endless days at the beach, rosé on rooftops, lazy summer activities, white dresses….I am starting to get depressed.

Labor Day weekend is the time to send off summer with a bang. Many of you will take one last trip to the beach, vineyard or some place exciting. Unfortunately (or maybe not so unfortunate) for me since I just went to Charleston and NYFW is a week away, I will be celebrating summer in NYC. If I were to go somewhere it would probably be the Hamptons for one last hurrah or Chicago to visit friends. In my mind, however, I vision myself on a sailboat with friends, drinking rosé or champagne, wearing something that resembles a sailor. I could always craft my bed into a boat, and I already have the nautical clothing and champagne…. interesting thought… it’s doable.

Anyway, having a staycation, of course, has not stopped me from making a LDW wishlist. As if I too am going to jet off to some place exciting.
