Happy Friday!!! Today I am off to Jersey for the weekend. My parents, aunt, uncle, and cousins are meeting me at Rutgers University for The Ohio State game. I am excited to spend time with my family this weekend and to go to the game! But before I head to Rutgers I am attending the Kate Spade Leopard Leopard Leopard event that features a talk with KSNY’s president Deborah Lloyd and Leandra Medine, founder of Man Repeller. I am so excited for this event and to hear these ladies speak!
My week has been busy but a good kind of busy! Monday night I went to the Marie Claire x Spanx’s The Next Best Thing event. Spanx has launched a new product called arm tights— you guessed it, Spanx for your arms! Anyway, we got to shop Marie Clarie’s “whats hot and new” (so many fun gadgets that I do not need but want) and listened to a talk with Spanx’s CEO Sara Blakely. I also ran into my two favorite fitness bloggers (and current Rockettes) Sarah and Natalie from City Fit Life. Always love seeing them and catching up! The event was amazing but unfortunately I lost my sunglasses and have been kicking myself ever since. Yes, my FAVORITE Tory Burch sunglasses that I wear everyday, in every blog post. I think I left them in my Uber and of course he is not answering his phone or calling me back…. RIP to my beautiful shades. I guess I have to buy a new pair… ugh. Until then I have been wearing my Karen Walker’s. Which I do love.
Tuesday night I went to see the Broadway play Carole King’s Beautiful the Musical. It was SO GOOD! I loved it! I went with Sam, from The New York Blond. I really did not know that Carole King basically wrote every hit song in the 60’s and 70’s. Pretty cool if you ask me. The play was so fun, you must go see it! Before the play we went to The Butcher’s Daughter for dinner. Honestly one of my favorite restaurants in New York. We both had the veggie burger.
Other than my events and missing sunglasses, I had a few meetings with brands this week. One of the brand meetings I had was with Deux Lux head of PR, Nancy, to see their fall collection. Such cute stuff! It was a successful meeting with lots of ideas being created and Nancy giving me some great advice. My week has been filled with inspiring women. I hope someday be just like these ladies inspiring and encouraging young female entrepreneurs to follow their dreams. I will get there someday but until then I’ll stick to listening and learning from these incredible women.
Have a wonderful weekend!!! XO
