New York Fashion Week has finally come to an end. Although I am sad, my feet are happy to no longer wear heels all day for a week straight. I spent most of the week at events and seeing a few shows. I wish I could of have attended more shows, but attending events are just as important. I meet some amazing new bloggers and industry people. It was an incredible week filled with fashion and that is what I love the most.
My first show was Pamella Roland. Known for her glamour couture gowns, everything was beautiful. Lots of sequins and feathers, I was in heaven. The perfect way to kick off NYFW for me. The next day I did something a little different, I worked backstage at the Heidi Klum x Lidl presentation as a model dresser.
The opportunity came from my roommate whose event company was producing the presentation and they needed an extra hand. I jumped right on the opportunity. Of course this meant that I had to miss out on shows and other events, but the opportunity to see what goes on backstage I could not pass up. It was a long day but a great one. After the models got their hair and makeup done, I would help dress and style them in their designated outfit. Since this was a presentation each girl only had one outfit, where as a runway they may have two. Once the models were dressed and put in place for the presentation, I was able to enjoy the event.
Heidi Klum is partnering with Lidl, a grocery store that is trying to become more of a supermarket (think Walmart). The presentation was designed as a grocery store with produce, shopping cart, virtual reality shopping lists, and a conveyer belt for the models to walk on. It was a pretty cool event and I am SO proud of my roommate– and happy to have been a part of it.

This was one of my NYFW looks that I wore to a happy hour hosted by The Riviere Agency as a thank you to influencers. It was a nice event filled with yummy hor d’oeuvres and cocktails. I loved wearing this dress! The tiered polkadot chiffon was feminine, flirty, and so much fun to wear. It also comes in navy which is perfect for fall and would look amazing with a denim jacket.
The rest of my fashion week was filled with some highs and lows and pinch me moments…..I can’t wait to share with you!!
