Happy Friday! I am SO happy it is the weekend.. my brain is fried. Mumble jumble in a blender fried. I am slowly setting into vacation mode but am running around like a headless chicken trying to get things done before I leave. Tuesday I am flying home to Ohio for the night, then my mom and I are taking a road trip down to Georgia to visit my sister, brother-in-law, and niece for a few days. After Georgia I will be spending a long week at home for Thanksgiving. I am excited to have two weeks of “vacation” from New York and to celebrate Thanksgiving at home with my family.
This past week has been a busy one.. tis the season for events! Monday I attended the Ramy Brook Blogsgiving for influencers, stylists, and editors at their HQ. It was a fun luncheon and I loved catching up with some friends I haven’t seen in a few months–also meeting new people. Then Monday evening I attended Wellness Meetup NYC with special guest Amanda Kloots. I talked about how I am majorly fan-girling Amanda right now in this post here. Not only is Amanda a fitness guru that I will listen to anything she says about health, but I also admire her drive in her career and business.
Wednesday I attended the launch event for Coffee Meets Bagel’s new video feature. For those of you who may not know what CMB is, it is a dating app. What the new feature entails is a more interactive, live view of the people you are looking at for a potential partner. This way you can see them in “reality” instead of a stale picture— and lets face it, you know people pick the best looking ones to put on their profiles. This new video also gives you a more in-depth insight into a person’s character. The event was pretty intimate with only press and influencers being there, but it was still a nice evening. I enjoyed talking to CMB’s employees about the new feature and what they foresee in tech/apps.
Yesterday I attended a special workout event with Body Conceptions x Rumi. I have not been to Body Conceptions in a while so I was extra excited about this event. Rumi is a fitness clothing brand that is now partnering with BC for their fitness challenge. Rumi’s eco-conscious clothes are made of coffee grinds and recycled bottles. How that is done I haven’t a clue— blows my mind too. Their stuff is pretty cute, so you should definitely check it out!
This weekend will be a fun one! Saturday I am meeting up with a few friends for day-drinking and chit-chatting. Just a relaxing day where we can hangout somewhere and talk over a few glasses of wine. I am very much looking forward to it. Sunday I am attending My Life Outside Of Office boat party. Yes a boat party in November… brrrrr. At least the brunch portion of the day will be inside the cruise ship, but the DJ and everything else will be outside. I am looking forward to a funday-sunday and to hang out with my blogging friends!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend! XO
