Happy Friday! Hope you all had a wonderful and delicious Thanksgiving!! I am still so stuffed, but it was worth it. My Thanksgiving was pretty lovely. My grandmother always spends the night the day before so she isn’t alone in the morning of Thanksgiving. Wednesday night we watched The Glenn Miller Story. My grandmother was in her 20’s in the 1940’s, and the movie was bringing back a lot of memories for her. After the movie I bombarded her with questions of life back then. It is hard to imagine my grandmother my age, but I love hearing about her life. I really cherish every moment with her as she is 95, but in perfect health!  I feel very fortunate to still have her in my life.

I will say one thing…. this bed and breakfast (known as my parents house) treats her better than me. I have to get my own food, pour my own glass, clean up after myself, and have orders barked at me. Meanwhile my grandmother gets to sit on the couch with her legs up on the ottoman and relax. Yelp will be hearing about this.

Thanksgiving day we started out with eating breakfast; my parents had monkey bread and I made blueberry gluten free antioxidant donuts. Then we watched the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade– a few of my friends are Rockettes and it was so cool to see them perform!! After the parade my grandmother and I played Christmas songs on the piano. My grandmother is a piano teacher and I used to take lessons from her. I always love playing with her as it brings so many memories of being a kid spending time at her house while taking lessons. After we played a few songs we started the preparations for dinner. My parents always host Thanksgiving dinner, and this year I was finally able to help out. Usually my aunts, mom, and grandmother take over the kitchen. This year we had a much smaller group for dinner so I was in the kitchen helping out. My favorite dish is always the stuffing, but since I have been gluten free I have yet to master it– never turns out right.  Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

This past week has been wonderful being back in Ohio. My parents and I went to the movie theater to see Murder On The Orient Express. I loved it! I knew it was a remake of an old movie, but really did not know the storyline. I highly suggest seeing it! Wednesday morning I met up with a few friends for coffee to catch up. I loved loved loved seeing them! I miss them so much! Besides spending time with family and friends I have been taking workout classes at System of Strength. My god I forgot how hard it is. Loved being back in the studio, but was definitely wishing for my death. So hard, but so good!

This weekend I am heading back to SOS as I am a psycho, and meeting up with friends to watch the Ohio State vs. Michigan game. A friend of mine rented a portion of a local bar to host a party for the game. Should be a great day! GO BUCKS!!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! XO
