Happy Friday!! The number of dance parties I had by myself in my apartment this week might be a world record. Can’t stop, won’t stop dancing. It doesn’t matter what song it is, I just want to dance. Even sitting in the subway I was tap dancing and snapping my fingers…. and not a single person gave me money for being a subway performer, rude. Although I am always in the mood to dance, this week I just got this feeling in my body so I dance, dance, dance, dance.
Besides me being a tiny dancer, this week was not as jammed packed as last week but still an overall good week. Wednesday night I attended the Viviscal x Molly Sims media event. I am obsessed with Viviscal, have been taking the pills for the past few years and swear by it. Viviscal is a natural hair growth supplement; they also do shampoo, conditioner, and an elixir. I have only taken the supplements and had no idea they did other products until Wednesday evening. Anyway, I was first introduced to Viviscal from a blogger who currently had a pixie cut at the time and wanted to grow her hair out. My hair was not thinning but it was damaged from getting it highlighted for years. I was also malnourished from not eliminating gluten from my diet. Gluten stops your body from absorbing nutrients. My hair would not grow past the tips of my shoulders no matter what. I finally decided to buy Viviscal pills and see what happens. It does take a few months– I really started to notice a difference after about 5 months. But I promise you you will see a difference, it just takes time. My hair started to not only grow, it looked and felt healthier (my skin and nails were healthier as well). Even my hairdresser was noticing new growth and how healthy my hair had become. I am truly obsessed with the product. The second I got the invitation to the event there was no hesitation, I was going. Molly Sims has been a long time fan of the company as well. She said that models 20 years ago used to smuggle them into the US. They were not offered here for a long time. It was a nice event over all. I got to meet Molly, who is really sweet and we bonded over our obsession with Vivsical. And yes I got to take some a pack of supplements!! I am one happy girl!
Thursday morning I attended a pop-up workout session at the Bandier in the Upper East Side with Amanda Kloots. Amanda (owner of The Rope and The Dance) has created a new workout called The Body. I have been interested in trying her new workout but couldn’t get into her pop-up class in the Flatiron Bandier store. I really enjoyed the class and can’t wait for it to be introduced to the schedule in a week. When I take the actual class that is when I will get a better grip on what the class is about. I know it is mostly based around using your body as a tool to strengthen and tone. Being in a small store you are limited on what moves you can do. I’ll talk about it more once I have a class under my belt. After the workout we were treated to Stylish Spoon’s chia cups, muffins, and cookies. SO GOOD! All natural; dairy-free, soy-free, gluten-free. You can store them in your freezer for 2 months. The creator and owner Ilana was going through different health issues (gluten) and since she had a love for baking, decided to create her own recipes. I highly suggest them– really so good!
Good news! I am FINALLY going to the dermatologist today. My eczema has started to spread a little and has formed a shape of a heart on my chin. Now I don’t know if I find it endearing or repulsive. I am confused. At least it is in season with Valentine’s Day. You can’t say that I am never on trend. I asked for help over Insta Stories and everyone was so kind in sharing tips and advice. I tried a few but got a little overwhelmed and fed-up. I want my dermatologist to inject, scrap, set me on fire, anything to get rid of it. It’s been real eczema, you gave me a few jokes to tell, but it’s time to say au revoir.
Besides my hopeful execution of my heart shape eczema, today I am meeting a friend for lunch and this weekend I have a birthday celebration to attend to!
Have a wonderful weekend xo
