Happy Friday!! My life is a March Madness right now. Remember last week when I said I was going to grow a third arm for this week………. well I didn’t. In fact the inflammation in my knee is completely gone! BUT now I am sick with a cold. Ha, life is a hoot isn’t it? From my personal professional opinion I believe the inflammation that was floating around my body is now leaving as a cold. (I am obviously not a doctor, but let me believe this). Anyway, my body is feeling better and I have been getting back into working out and doing movements full out. I am still cautious because you never know when my body will decide to come back with it’s greatest hits causing everything to go haywire. I need to rebuild strength and endurance before fully getting back to where I was before all of this chaos.
Besides feeling under the weather I went to Lauren Ralph Lauren’s breakfast and presentation event Thursday morning. The event was held at the Ralph Lauren headquarter’s showroom in midtown. I was SO excited for this event as it was my first time doing anything with Ralph Lauren– a dream company of mine to work with! The event had models dressed up in Lauren Ralph Lauren’s summer, fall and winter 2018 collection. You are sure to see classic looks with houndstooth, nautical style, and lots of layering. During the event we were able to get a striped button up shirt monogrammed– I had my instagram handle Blush and Blooms in pink thread embroidered on the back collar so it’s only visible if I pop my collar. Bringing popped collars back like it’s 2004. I figured I could wear it with the hem line tied with my high waist shorts (white or denim) and a popped collar with my hair up during spring days. A walking advertisement. The event was a lot of fun but I wasn’t feeling the best. That night I was supposed to go to Etienne Aigner fall preview but I was not feeling well enough to go unfortunately.
Did you fill out your March Madness bracket? I completely forgot to and now it’s too late. Oh well. I’ll just root for Ohio State until/if they lose, then I will choose whoever wins the entire thing– that way I win no matter what. That’s how this works right?
This weekend I am going to take it easy and sleep off this cold. Sunday I am going to lunch with Emily from An Empire Style of Mind. Emily and I met last spring, I believe, at an event, but really didn’t get to know each other until we spent the entire day at the Nicole Miller event this past fall. Even though we see each other at almost every blogging/fashion event, it’s nice to hang out outside of the blogging world and just chit chat. Emily is one of the sweetest people and I LOVE her preppy, colorful, girly style.
Have a wonderful weekend! Let me know what you are up to in the comment section! xo
