Happy Friday!! Praise Jesus hallelujah, I am injury/inflammation free and I am no longer sick! It only took a month, but hey, I am here, I am healthy, and I am loving life! The best part is that I am back to working out and it feels SO good to move, dance and sweat. I have been going to Bandier’s Studio B a lot lately. My favorite classes are Amanda Kloots, Megan Roup, and Legs by Lauren. I have honestly been in the best mood since starting to workout again. I guess Elle Woods was right; exercise gives you endorphins, and endorphins make you happy.
Besides getting back into shape (my goodness I really felt my lack of stamina), there were a few other things on my agenda this past week. Monday I went to the New York Home Fashions Market Week event with Micro Cotton. I was able to see their new collections and designs. Their towels are heavenly soft! You can find them at major retailers like Macy’s, Bed Bath and Beyond, etc. It was a cool experience to see the different brands at the event. Makes me long for a house of my own to decorate.
Wednesday I walked through the snowstorm to meet with Emily, from (Em)pire Style of Mind, for lunch at Old Rose. I gushed about Old Rose on yesterdays post here, and you can see the interior here on my instagram. The place is so cute and the food was really good! I had the best time with Emily. We talked for hours about everything–life, NYC, blogging, childhood, boys, fashion, etc. Emily is one of the sweetest people I have met here in New York. I am happy we have become friends!
Lately I’ve been having this urge to do something simple yet creative. Maybe get back into photography or learn how to paint. I bought two Vogue coloring books (this one and this one) years ago that I never did. It was one of those things that I kept putting off for no reason then here I am two years later and haven’t started. I have been getting the urge to start it. I think it will help boost my creativity. Maybe tap into some idea or inspiration. But besides adult coloring, I want to keep creating. As a child I loved doing arts and crafts. Even to this day with my blog, I use this as a creative outlet. We will just have to wait and see what comes out of this urge.
This weekend I do not have any set plans except for working out and going to church on Sunday for Palm Sunday. I was sick in bed last weekend, so this weekend I want to get out and about, have drinks with friends, shop, frolick around the city. I do have to start packing as I am leaving on Tuesday. I am flying home to Columbus for a long week to celebrate Easter with my family. I am pretty excited to get out of the city and to have a long break with my family.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend– let me know what you are up to in the comment section below! xo

Sick for a month? That sounds terrible, so glad you’re all better! I spring cleaned all weekend, hoping it will bring the spring weather. 🙂
Love this update! I definitely need to find those Vogue coloring books!

Glad you’re able to get back to working out… I need to get some of your motivation!
I always love these end-of-the-week summarizations. It’s fun to hear about your life outside of just fashion! It’s like actually getting to know you 🙂
