Happy Friday! I am currently in Columbus, Ohio visiting my parents and to celebrate Easter. I flew in this past Tuesday and am here for an entire week. I am happy to be home and spending time with my entire family. My sister, niece, and brother-in-law are also here, so it’s one big happy family. This also means I have If you are happy and you know it clap your hands stuck in my head.

Before leaving for Columbus, on Monday I had Affiner stop by my apartment and clean out my closet. Affiner is owned by Caitlin Costello– who is a friend of a friend of mine, that is how we met. She is super sweet and I was so excited to work with her and her sister Erin. I am a hoarder of clothes. Knowing trends come and go, I hold on to a lot of items. With that being said there were a few items I was desperate to get rid of. No only will Affiner help clean out your closet, but they also provide styling and personal shopping. Even if you do not live in New York you can have them do your shopping for you. There are a lot of styling services out there I know, but what makes Affiner different is that you get to choose your stylist instead of being assigned to one.  After taking a survey based off of your style preferences you get the option of choosing a stylist who best fits your needs. And you can always switch your stylist if you want. If you are in New York and in need of someone to do your shopping for you as us New Yorker’s are always so busy, or if you are in need of a closet clean out (they take your clothes to a consignment stors to sell) try them out. If you are not in NYC I still suggest trying their services.

During the closet cleanup I was pretty impressed with myself on how decisive I was in getting rid of things. There were a few items I held onto that I couldn’t say goodbye to just yet. I did shed a few internal tears for the clothes that left me, but it only makes room for new clothes! New me who dis? Anyway, my room has NEVER looked so organized. I am afraid to change my outfit in fear of screwing up their work. I will do my best to keep it looking clean and organized as much as possible

Besides my spring cleaning so far this week I have just been spending time with my family. Today I am meeting with a few friends for brunch at one our friend’s house. I made deviled eggs, something easy to contribute to the feast. They all have the cutest children and this is the best way we can all get together with the kids. It was so fun getting together and catching up. I really miss my friends! The ones I haven’t seen yet I will hopefully see this weekend and for dinner next week.

I can’t believe Easter is this weekend! It seems like it should be next weekend. We start the day off by doing an egg hunt in the living room. I do not care if my niece is only 1 years old, I take no prisoners– competition is competition. Last year I was the only young adult in the house and I still made my parents hide the eggs for me to find. Can’t ever be out of practice. After the egg hunt is over we open our Easter baskets which is usually filled with chocolates and one present. Growing up it used to be a doll or a new CD, now it’s gift cards. After the hunt and we’ve rummage through our baskets it’s time for breakfast and church. Fun little fact: my grandparents and their friends started the church I grew up in. They gathered funds, found a contractor, helped design the layout, and built the church we still go to today. Pretty cool if you ask me! The rest of the day is usually spent watching movies until we have a big family dinner.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and a fantastic Easter! xo
