“For your heart will always pursue what you value as your treasure”

Matthew 6:21-23

Happy Friday!! This past week was jammed packed! I am exhausted but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.  I love this time of year because so much is happening. Everyone is trying to squeeze in events, meetings, and get togethers before the summer when everyone travels. All of New York is kicking off summer in style. It’s one of the things I love most about living here. Blogger or not you are hopping from event to event. Even before I became a blogger I was still gong to events, gala’s, balls, etc. It truly is the city that never sleeps.

This past Monday I started the day with trying on engagement rings at De Beers. No I am not engaged, it was an event they had at their UES store. We were able to try on rings, earrings, necklaces, broaches, etc, while carrying around bouquets of flowers from Rachel Cho. The second I walked into the store I ignored my friends and beamed lined it to this beautiful engagement ring. It was like the flood gates of heaven opened and a light was shinning on it for me. So I  grabbed it off of the holder and tried it on while 2 employees and a security guard rushed my way.  Then I got the ring stuck on my finger. Obviously a sign from God it’s meant to be mine…..it will be mine. The diamond is the size of quarter, so take notes gentlemen. Anyway, the event was nice after I finally got the ring off of my finger and De Beers was kind enough to let me try on more rings after my grand entrance.

That evening I attend an art exhibit event for Frank Fraver and the Tony Awards at the Sofitel hotel in the Theatre District. Fraver has been designing Broadway posters for many years and they are now all displayed in the lobby of the hotel (which is dubbed the Tony Awards hotel). The evening was nice! I love evenings like this that have nothing to do with blogging. An evening filled with Broadway enthusiast. I am a HUGE lover of Broadway and have been since the moment I was born pretty much. I remember my first Broadway play when I was in elementary school, we saw Phantom of The Opera. My parents bought me the Phantom mask and I wore it all of the time.  I was obviously an instant fan of Broadway and very cool. What Also loved about the evening is learning about Fraver’s vision in creating his designs. You never really think about the art work that goes into shows or even movies for that matter. I love hearing about people’s inspiration, what makes them think a certain way, why are they creating things a certain way. It’s all very fascinating, everyone’s vision.

The Tony Awards exhibit was perfect timing as Tuesday evening I met up with my old dance studio owner who was in town visiting her friend. We met for an early dinner at the Summer Garden and Bar restaurant in Rockefeller Center (where they have the ice rink). It has been on my NYC bucket list of things to do. It was the perfect spot for dinner right by the fountain and the statue of Prometheus, until everything got completely dark and a storm came in. Luckily we were able to go inside the Rockefeller Center Cafe to finish our meals. It was so nice to catch up with my old dance teacher and to talk about all of the musicals she had seen over her stay. I believe she saw roughly 8 shows in 5 days…. that is talent.

The rain unfortunately did not stop and it put a damper on the annual Crowns and Rosé party Wednesday evening at Crowns by Christy’s apartment. Christy has an amazing terrace that she host parties on and the rain had up cooped up in her apartment instead. It didn’t stop us from having way too much fun! We drank rosé, made flower crowns, chit chatted, looked at Kendra Scott’s new collection (see my instagram picture for example), and of course it wouldn’t be a C&R party without Domino’s pizza being served on fine china. I didn’t mind being indoors as Christy’s apartment is drop dead gorgeous— seriously SOMEONE needs to publish an apartment tour of her home!

On Thursday I headed uptown to Saks 5th Avenue for their summer social event with Bumble, #TheSAKSSocial. It was SO much fun! They decorated the 5th floor as a beach with a “fruit” stand (a bar), beach balls, and a surfer hut for the band. The band was a 90’s cover band called Saved by the Nineties. Everyone was loving it! I had a blast singing and dancing to my favorite 90’s songs. The best part, however, was the guy who walked around with a parasol with pretzels and churros hanging down for people to take and eat– obviously didn’t eat it, because GF. But what a great touch!

Workouts I did this week are Legs by Lauren (so sore!), Mile High Run Club, Body by Simone, and Orange Theory. All so good yet tiring! I am still on the Keto diet, have been feeling great. A little tired here and there, but I think that mostly has to do with me running around to events all week.

This weekend I am going to do nothing but watch 13 Reasons Why and the Royal Wedding. Are you going to watch the Royal Wedding? I am mostly excited for the fashion and Gary Janetti’s memes following the wedding. His Prince George memes are hysterical! I do have a Tea Party event tomorrow afternoon host by my friend Emily, from Empire Style of Mind x Winky Lux. Which will be fun! But my plans are to do relax, clean my room, read, and run errands. These past few weekends have been big and the next two weekends are going to be busy, I want to take it easy. This following Wednesday I am heading home to Ohio for a week for my sister’s childhood best friend’s wedding, then the weekend after that I am attending the Veuve Clicquot Polo Match.

Have a wonderful weekend! XO
