Every season brands and designers have a certain print or pattern that is significant to the current collection. Whether it’s themed pineapples, gingham, or a certain color, you will see the print in almost every garment. When Tory Burch introduced her Hicks Garden summer collection I was instantly smitten by it. I had to have it in some form or another as the coloring and print was too beautiful to pass on. It gives a 60’s vibe that it playful, fun, and chic.

A little background on the print: Tory Burch was inspired by David Hicks for her summer collection. Hicks was an English interior decorator known for bold prints, bright colors, and loved to mix things up. He broke away from the traditional English design and introduced a more modern, playful interior. Tory Burch’s summer collection pays homage to Hicks in a series of a garden print that is seen both on my dress and my pearl shoes.

As there are many wonderful choices in her summer collection I decided to go with this linen dress. An easy throw on that I can wear during the day or to events– I wore it to the SAKS x Bumble Summer Kick-Off Party. I have worn this dress with heels and with Keds. My shoes, however, are not an everyday wear but more of an occasion. I simply thought they were beautiful and worth having. I love the added elegant detail it brings to an outfit, even one as casual as linen. I love the print so much I am considering getting this handbag. This garden print, although bold, is one that I know I can pull out in years to come and still feel in awe of the coloring and detailing.
