Next weekend I am heading to the 11th Annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic in New Jersey. I have been trying to go to this for many years now, probably since I first moved to NYC. Unfortunately every year I have had something like a wedding or bachelorette that would land on the same date causing me to miss it. Finally this year I have the weekend free and I am going! It has been on my bucket list to attend a polo match and I can not wait for this day to come. I am attending the match with a few other bloggers in the Rosé Garden. The Rosé Garden is a VIP section of the polo match on the other side of the field from the general admission ticket holders.
What I am most excited for is to watch the match and see all of the fashion. I have a feeling I am going to become obsessed with polo and will want to go to more matches. I will have to google the rules on how to play polo before the match so I know what is going on. No matter what I will have fun– stomping the divots, drinking champagne, having fun with my friends, and of course seeing all of the horses. Horses are my favorite animal (besides dogs), so you can bet I will be taking thousands of pictures of them.
The fashion there is not to be missed! Women and men will be donning their chic, bright and preppy attire. I am thinking I will see a lot of pink and white suits coming from men and floral dresses from the women. Since we will be on grass the whole time, wedges are in order. I can’t remember the last time I wore wedges but luckily I have these Loeffler Randall wedges from a few seasons ago (that is still in stock!). I am still unsure of what I am going to wear. I just bought this dress from Rebecca Taylor, but want backups incase it does not fit properly on me. Here are a few of my current options.
