Happy Friday!! My good lord this past week I was a one busy bee. It started last weekend when I spent all day Saturday and Sunday at the Popsugar Playground convention at Pier 94. The event was lovely with great brands to shop, amazing panelist, and fun workouts to participate in. My favorite panelist were Kate Hudson, Mindy Kaling, Tiffany Haddish, Sallie Krawcheck, and Gabrielle Bernstein. Although I was excited to listen to all of the panelist, I was DYING to see Gabby Bernstein the most. I have been following Bernstein’s teachings for years and it was on my bucket to see her speak live. She is so inspiring and a great reminder to always find the silver lining in every situation. Besides me eating up every single word Bernstein said, I also had on my bucket list to take a class from Kayla Itsines, founder of the BBG workouts. It was a great 45 workout, all cardio based. I am thinking of going back on the BBG guide to do during the days I do not have time to workout. It’s a great way to get some exercise in. After Kayla’s class I took a 45 minute class with Simone De La Rue, owner of Body by Simone. I have taken BBS a bunch of times, you probably have noticed from my Insta Stories. I have even taken class from Simone herself, but it’s always a great experience to do one of your favorite workouts with the owner themselves.
By Monday I was tired from the convention but that didn’t stop me from going to The Campbell Apartment in Grand Central. It was a small, intimate group of us celebrating our friend Caroline’s launch of her FIRST book Making it in Manhattan!! I am SO proud of her and all of the hard work she has done! The book is about Caroline’s journey working at fashion publications and now freelancing on her own. It’s about the industry and working your way to the top. It’s funny, cute, real, and positive– it’s a book that won’t scare you into thinking your dreams can not become reality. The party was fun and I am so glad I was there to support and celebrate my friend! You can pre-order the book now– it’s official release is in November.
Tuesday I had an event in Brooklyn that I ended up skipping because I had a lot of work to catch up on. The only thing I did on Tuesday was workout at 305 Fitness, which I am obsessed with! Wednesday evening I went to the Pandora Up Close with Dierks Bentley concert. It was SO much fun! I went with Emily, Alyssa, and Kate. It was an intimate event with less than 200 people there, so we were really close to the stage. He played for about an hour, most of the songs from his new album. This is my first time seeing Dierks Bentley in concert and will definitely go back to see him!
Thursday we a crazy day! I started the morning with an event at Lilly Pulitzer, who just launched a new collaboration with S’well bottles. If you are ever in New York (or live here) and want a pick me up, head to the Lilly store. You can never be in a bad mood at a Lilly store with all the colorful patterns and beach vibes. Plus their employees are ALWAYS the nicest! Anyway, the event was fun! They had lite bites to eat and a girl painting a traditional Lilly pattern. I went home with the cute Chiara dress, just in time for National Wear Your Lilly Day next Thursday. After Lilly I hopped downtown (or actually mid-town) to the Furla press pre-view. They have some CUTE bags in their fall/winter collection; a gorgeous sky blue faux fur bag, an astrology collection, and a few new designs that I am loving. After Furla I went back home to do some work and to recharge before the evening.
Last night I met up with Emily at the Freehand hotel for the Neubau event. They have a new collection called Sigmund & Carl that they were showcasing. If you ever have the chance go to the Freehand hotel! The decor is amazing! They apparently have a restaurant there called Simon & the Whale that I want to try. We were located at the George Washington Bar that has classic decor along with a game room filled with Pacman and table hockey. Definitely worth a trip there! After Neubau we went downtown to Neely and Chloe’s press preview of their CUTE new summer collection. My personal favorite is their gingham collection. Want. It. All! After a brief visit with my favorite sister duo, Emily and I went to Milk Studios for the AMEX event. They were featuring Zoe Salanda and Karamo from Queer Eye. The event was fun! It was nice to be on a rooftop during this gorgeous weather we have been having lately and chat with friends.
After this entire week I am wiped out. For the past few weekend I have had something to do and I need a mental break. I have nothing on the agenda this weekend. I am planning on relaxing, reading a book in the park, catching up on shows, sleeping in, go for a run outside. Anything to just decompress (or decompose as I jokingly like to say). I need a mental break, a moment to breath.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend and Happy Father’s Day!

It sounds like a crazy but really great week! I am glad you don’t have anything planned this weekend. It’s always nice when the weekend is free and there’s nothing to do.
Weekends with no plans are sometimes the absolute best weekends! Hope you’ve had a great one gal!
