Happy Friday!! This past week wasn’t as eventful as last week but it was still filled with learning experiences and another Insta-worthy fun-house. Last Saturday I attended the Victory Cup— an all day event at Governors Island with 3 polo matches and lots of mingling. We had a great time but would say the day took a tool on everyone. We got the Governors Island around 10am while it was still raining. I am assuming because of the storm earlier that day they postponed the first match because it didn’t start until 12:30-1pm. By that time the sun had come out and it was hotter than anything. It started to become miserable, but I love polo so it was worth looking like I jumped in a pool to watch pretty horses run by me. My friends and I watched the matches from the VIP section, which I was grateful for because of the heat. Personally I don’t particularly like to be in the sun when it’s that hot and I HATE being in a huge crowd when I feel sticky, sweaty, and gross. The Golden Mallot and the General Admission sections were jammed packed and the VIP section was a little bit more breathable. Since it was so freaking hot I, and everyone else who had one, was grateful for their umbrella. I brought mine because of the rain which I ended up using to shield the sun. I felt like Downton Abbey when the women watched Cricket. We ended up leaving around 3:30/4pm at the end of the 2nd match. The entire day’s events ended at 8pm… there was no way I would of have lasted.

Monday after I finally recovered from the day in the sun I went to the Winky Lux Experience. Winky Lux is a makeup brand for those of you who may not know. The experience consisted of 7 fun-rooms that were Insta-worthy decorated. One room was decorated like the sky with clouds, another was filled with flowers like a garden, another room represented a rainbow, one had Alice in Wonderland vibes, and lots more. My favorite room was the infinity room, or the disco room as I like to call it. It had fun music, a disco ball, and psychedelic lighting. Pretty trippy! Each room had a Winky Lux product that accommodated the rooms aesthetics, and they had color-themed macarons which I was for! The pop-up is now opened to the public and will run for 6 months–if you are in NYC definitely check it out. I do know that they are taking the experience to other cities around the US so be on the look out!

Yesterday I attended the 2nd Instagram Master Class series at Facebook. It has been so interesting to learn about Insta a little more. I wish I could share with you all that they talked about but I signed an NDA and am not allowed to spill the beans. What I can say is that every myth you hear about Instagram and the algorithm is wrong– and there is proven studies that show it. After being in the class I do feel a lot better with the algorithm….and dare I say, even like it?

Besides my Insta experiences this past week I mostly spent the week working out, attending meetings, and started to send out my NYFW requests. Ah I can’t believe NYFW is almost upon us! It’s crazy to think how fast this year has flown. I am excited for this season and nervous about what shows I will and won’t be accept in. We will see!

This weekend I have nothing planned except to work out. I will probably send out more NYFW request and have drinks with friends. There are a few pop-up museums that I have been wanting to check out as well. The weather app says it is going to storm all weekend, which I am not mad about at all!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend! XO
