“let your life be your art”
Happy Friday!! I flew home to Columbus yesterday for a long holiday break. I am happy to be home, spending time with my family and can’t wait to see my friends. But I am most excited about seeing my niece’s excitement for Christmas. She is already going around the house saying Ho Ho Ho. I’ve never had the opportunity, being the youngest of my entire family, to see the holiday through a child’s eyes. It really reminds you how excited you were as a kid that Santa was coming.
Since the holiday is around the corner this week is pretty quiet in terms of events. The only event I had this past week was my own. I hosted a holiday event at J.Crew Rockefeller Center. During the event I helped people pick out gifts for their loved ones, and helped style outfits for Christmas and New Years Eve. For the event I wore this jumpsuit in red with these earrings and an old pair of J.Crew tweed heels. I had fun at the event and am so happy I was able to host! It was my first shopping event here in NYC! Hoping for more to come. And thank you to everyone who stopped by and said hi 🙂
Since my work load was light and events were next to nothing, I finally went to see my friends perform at the Christmas Spectacular. The Rockettes are always fun to see perform during the holiday season. Not a bad way to spend Monday morning. Since I went to an early show I was able to see my friends from City Fit Life briefly after the performance. It really is the only time I get to see them during the holidays. A quick hello, how’s life, lets get drinks in the new year type of convo. Speaking of Rockettes; Did you catch my workout video last Sunday from Amanda Kloots class? (you can watch Amanda’s video with a quick cameo of me in it) Amanda used to be a Rockette and taught us a dance. I was SO SO SO happy about it! I couldn’t stop smiling! It’s like a dream come true for the dancer in me who knew growing up I could never be a Rockette because of my height. It was cute dance and lots of fun to perform. I keep watching it to remember the moves as I want to teach my mom and my aunts during Christmas knowing they will love it. Now that I have learned a dance I believe this makes me an honorary Rockette….. Radio City here I come!! Still sore from the high kicks…..
This weekend I am planning on working out with my sister and cousin, spend time with my family, go shopping with my mom, and just relax. Saturday night I am attending my friend’s annual family holiday party. Always a good time! Speaking of relaxing, I will be taking a break next week from the blog so I can spend time with my family and enjoy Christmas. I will most likely pop back in next Friday to say hello. I am planning on staying somewhat active on Instagram, so don’t forget to check in on outfit posts and Instagram Stories.
Have a wonderful weekend and Merry Christmas xo
