Happy Friday and happy belated Valentine’s Day! Hope your day was filled with love; whether from your s/o, family member, friends, or self love. I got a cute VDay text from my 2yr old niece sending me a picture of herself (narcissistic much…). A call from my dad (and a card)– although he didn’t laugh at my favorite witty remark as of lately, so that was bummer. Maybe he didn’t hear me, my mom sure had a good laugh at it. I received lots of love from friends. Managed to have some alone time during the day to reflex, and had my favorite meal cooked at night. Needless to say I felt loved. Hope you did too!

NYFW has ended, which I am pretty happy about. I just wasn’t into it as much as I have been the past few seasons. I think it’s mostly due to the weather and not wanting to be standing outside forever waiting for a show. But I have to say that my fashion week was good and ended on a high note. Monday I went to Lela Rose show. I basically cried when I received the invite. Lela Rose has been on my NYFW dream list for years. I have been in love with the brand and the beautiful feminine designs, so being invited made me over the moon happy. The show exceeded any expectation I had, hands down the best NYFW show I have EVER been to. Lela Rose likes to put on a production, something fun and quirky instead of just having a typical runway. The show was called ‘Rose Minster Dog Show’. Yep the fashion show was actually a dog show. She had about 10 famous dogs being paraded around like a standard dog show with judges– all wearing Lela Rose fall ’19 collection. It was brilliant and so much fun! I think I filmed the entire show I couldn’t get enough of it. To top it off Jenna Bush Hager and Robert Verdi were the MC’s and were just hysterical! Everyone was dying laughing. I had the best time and feel so grateful I was there!! Fingers cross I am invited back in September!!

Lela Rose was the last show that I attended but my final bow was the Tractenberg & Co annual fashion week PR event. Always located in their showroom, they had many different beauty and hair brands to test out. One brand in particular, Ahava, had a crystal reader, The Cristalline. As you know by now I am alllll about that stuff. I don’t care what the event is for– if the invite says tarot card reader, psychic, crystal reader, palm reader, etc, I am THERE. what The Cristalline first had me do is pick out 3 cards from the deck– tarot cards that were stone themed. Well, technically she first asked me if I wanted a specific reading; love life, career, etc. I decided to just do a generalized reading. Anyway, the cards that I picked were prosperity, self knowledge, and beginning. She told me that my mind is very prosperous but only when I am grounded. There is going to be a new beginning in my life. That my self knowledge of who I am, how I think, my ideas and creativity, and how I approach things are going to get me far in life, as long as I stay grounded (she said more stuff but want to keep that personal). She talked a lot about my throat chakra– how things will only manifest if I start speaking my truth and communicate what I want to people and the universe. Which is true, I have a hard time expressing my feelings to people, and I “dim my sparkle” so other people won’t feel bad. This I have been told by many psychics and therapist before. Anyway, she picked out a crystal for me to take home that she thinks will benefit me– the blue lace agate stone. It’s for the throat chakra, both a grounding and spiritual stone. A healing stone. Helps calm your anxiety and activates your communication and feelings. Oh, side note: Ahava uses minerals from the dead sea.Pretty cool.

Wednesday night I went to see Mean Girls on Broadway with Purewow. IT WAS SO GOOD! Talk about exceeding my expectations. I figured the show would be fun, but from what I saw during the Thanksgiving Day Parade, it wasn’t on my list of must see broadway shows. Still if I get an opportunity to see something I’ll take it. The show was hilarious, I was dying laughing. The story stays pretty true to the movie with a few changes. The cast was phenomenal– honestly they all had amazing, strong voices and impeccable comedic timing. I highly, highly recommend seeing it. I want to go back! After the play I went downtown to the Hennessy’s Chinese New Year party at Manhatta. I had a blast! They had a little show of people running around with a huge dragon that blew out smoke. The dance floor was happening with DJ Alice Longyu Gao. It was a great night!

This weekend I maybe going to see the NYC Ballet perform Sleeping Beauty— still need to finalize plans. I also want to go to the Whitney Museum to see the Andy Warhol exhibition at some point. Will, of course, be working out and relaxing. I am almost finished with The Ozark season 2, which is SO much better than S1 I think. I liked it but wasn’t that into it so neglected to watch S2. I basically ran out of things to watch and decided to give S2 a try and am glad I did, really enjoy it. Good times.

Have a wonderful weekend xo
