“why else are we here if not to live with unreasonable passion for things”

Happy Friday and Happy Easter!! I am currently home in Columbus for Easter weekend. I flew in yesterday morning and am here til mid next week. I am happy to be home with my family. I am mostly excited to hang out with my niece and to see my grandmother. It is also nice to have a little break from the craziness of work and life.
Remember how last week was filled with unfortunate events? Well my bad luck ended with quite the bang. Drum roll please……….There is fraud on my debit card. I received a text last Sunday from my bank stating that they noticed unusual activity on my debit card from a company I have never heard of. So I replied “no” I did not make those charges. Then they locked my card. Ok. Fine. Happy they are helping… but wait… my credit card is currently expired and a new one is on its way. WHICH MEANS I had absolutely no access to money what so ever. I only had a dollar bill in my wallet. I had a moment of panic and worry that my cc would not arrive in time for my flight home. HOW on earth would I pay for transportation?! Luckily it did arrive on Tuesday, so I was only SOL for two days but not without paying the price. Monday morning I went to DanceBody in Tribeca, using the subway. On my way back, my Metro card was empty and I had no way of refilling it. So what did I do? I walked 35 minutes in the pouring rain to get home. LOL what is life? After the week I had it all becomes laughable. Luckily things have turned for the better.
With not being able to get anywhere I unfortunately had to skip my event Monday afternoon. I was suppose to go to SPIN54 kick off opening. SPIN54 is a new restaurant in the midtown east. It’s a restaurant, bar, and ping pong establishment. Ugh, I was so looking forward to playing ping pong! Even though I missed the opening, I do want to try it out sometime. Sounds like fun!
Tuesday morning my credit card arrived (YAYY!) and I was able to attend the events of the day! In the afternoon I attended Amazon Fashion Spring Photoshoot. We were able to pick out a few outfits to shoot at their Brooklyn showroom. They created 3 set designs– huge florals, picnic in the park, and blue/denim designs. We had our hair and makeup done, styled a few outfits, and took pictures in front of the set of our liking. It was a fun afternoon and I am excited to share some of the content from it!
That evening I went to see Beetlejuice on Broadway with Elena. IT WAS SO GOOD!! I loved it! From the beginning to the end I was laughing so hard. I even cried at one point; tears, sniffles, all of it. If I wasn’t around people I would probably have bawled my eyes out. Everyone in the audience was getting emotional. Never thought I would cry watching Beetlejuice, but here we are. Anyway, I highly suggest going to see it! The production set is amazing and the performers were phenomenal. The crowd gave a loud standing ovation at the end. I was so surprised how good it was. Not that I thought it would be bad, I figured it would be entertaining, but not this good!
Wednesday I had another photoshoot in the morning followed by a call with my agent. We created a 6 month strategy plan. I am SO excited for what is to come!! After the call I went to WTHN for my second acupuncture session. I am really loving acupuncture, it has become part of my monthly wellness routine. I initially tried it because of the pain in my left shoulder, which by the way after only one session is completely fine! Going back to WTHN I didn’t have a specific area in mind, only wanted overall wellness. We (the acupuncturist and I) decided to work on issues like digestion, bloating, weight, stress, and hormonal balance. This time around I was lying on my back with pins all over my stomach, legs, arms, and even my head. My first session some of the pins I could feel, some made my body jerk. This time no problems at all. Another major difference between the two sessions was my energy afterwards; first being fatigued and the second having a lot of energy. Maybe it’s due to what I worked on or my body reacting differently. Either way I am loving what acupuncture has done for my mind and my body.
As I mentioned I flew in to Columbus yesterday. I basically hung out at home all day; went on a walk around the park with my niece and mom, did some work, had dinner with my parents. This weekend I am hoping to see some of my friends for a fun night out and will be celebrating Easter with my family. Other than that I am going to relax, workout, read my book, and be a bum on the couch.
Have a wonderful weekend! xo
