Happy Friday and happy Memorial Day Weekend! The sun is out, the champagne is about to flow, and I am ready to be done with work for the weekend. I am staying in New York, but will definitely be out and about town.

Last weekend I went to the Sip, Shop, and Eat event in Brooklyn. It was more of a small flea market than anything else. Going into it I wasn’t sure what to expect. I spent most of the time just browsing through different vendors clothing racks and jewelry lines. Lately I have been into asking jewelry designers their inspiration and creative process behind their collections. I find it to be very intriguing. It is such a different process than creating garments and everyones inspiration is so different, as well as the materials they use. Anyway, after I chit-chatted with a few vendors I spotted a tarot card reader where I basically pushed people out of my way to ran over to to get my reading. She had Game of Thrones tarot cards which was amazing and very on theme with the series finale. Anyway, my reading went pretty well. A few cards that I received were the Wheel of Fortune, Queen of Swords (bend da knee), Two of Cups, and The Priestess cards. She said that I am capable of getting everything I want and desire as long as I keep my mind positive and grounded. That everything is in reach and I have great fortune and abundance.  She also said that I am about to meet or re-connect with the love of my life (I’ve been told that whoever I am suppose to marry, we have crossed paths before…but does not necessarily mean I know them). She also told me someone in my work environment has been deceitful/ betraying me. Hmmm wonder who this is? I asked her if I was going to stay in New York and she said that she does not see me leaving anytime soon. Happy to hear that! Overall my reading was great and I was happy with it. I’ve been having anxiety lately and experiencing sleepless nights worrying about this and that, what if’s, wish this turned out this way, and have been thinking a lot about someone from my past. It’s someone I am sad that is no longer in my life and there is no way I can reach out after so much time and everything that has happened. Maybe we will cross paths again, but been thinking a lot about this person lately.

The only other event I went to this past week was Will Lane x Brrrn. Will Lane is a activewear line, they were kind enough to dress us in their new collection for the event. We took the slide class offered at Brrrn, which I have taken before… and like to pretend I am Apolo Ohno winning the Olympic Gold. It’s a good class and pretty challenging, a killer leg workout. Overall it was a fun event!

Other than my two events I spent the rest of the week working. I had a meeting with a brand to discuss a potential event I will be hosting there! I am very excited about this partnership and can’t wait to tell you all of the details and the date of the event. Hope to see you all there!

Speaking of potential events. Every few months I gather the makeup and skincare products that have been given to me and donate them to Dress for Success. The girl who is my point person for the organization is in the works of creating a blogger sale where 100% of the proceeds will go to Dress for Success. The sale will be located here in Manhattan somewhere and held sometime in the next month. It will consist of clothing items, makeup and skincare products donated by bloggers/influencers. I am assuming it will all be sold at a reasonable price(?). I will be there, unless it falls on the week that I am out of town. If I am not there I will still be donating clothes and products to the sale. So please come and shop, shop, shop!! Hopefully will be sending out details sometime soon!

So lets talk about the final episode of Game of Thrones. As you all know by now I am a huge GOT fan and am pretty sad it is over. I have to be honest in saying that I actually liked the ending and season 8, but wished we had an episode or two more to explain about how the characters got to where they are now. Yes a lot of it has been foreshadowed over the years; Daenerys with her dream in season 2, Arya stating she wondered what was out west, Jon repeatedly saying he only feels like himself in the north, and Sansa, my girl, FINALLY getting to be Queen! Bran becoming King does not bother me, I just wish we knew more about what is means for him to be the 3rd-Eye Raven, what all can he do, and is he going to be an absentee King and let Tyrion run everything. We sorta get a glimpse of that during the counsel meeting. Also who agreed to let Bronn be Master of Coins…. is he the most responsible with money? I think not. Jon I do wish had a different ending– I was hoping, if not King, then he would be the head of the Queen’s Guard for Sansa or the Queen’s Hand. Something other than just being with the Wildlings. Also what is the purpose of the Nights Watch? AND if the north is now independent and Sansa is Queen of the north and the Night’s Watch is in the north… couldn’t she just pardon Jon? So many questions left unanswered. But you know what is really going to bother me for all of time… when Brienne was writing about Jaime and she wrote that Joffrey was killed by Tyrion! Everyone still thinks that and it’s not true! Wouldn’t Jaime have told people, especially Brienne, that is was Lady Olenna? Or Sansa telling someone it was Little Finger? I am sure Varys knew and would’ve told everyone!\. HOW has this not been fixed?  Anyway, over all I do not agree with everyone else saying this season was terrible. I thought it was brilliant and well done! Oh and if I had written GOT, I would’ve had Arya and Gendry married and sail off together… wishful thinking!

On to my next nerd excursion– I am a fair-weather fan with the Marvel Movies and am currently trying to catch up before seeing Endgame. It’s not that I didn’t like them beforehand; I have seen all of Spiderman and Captain America movies, and saw the first Iron Man movie. I, for some reason, didn’t keep up with the rest. Now I am wasting all of my money on renting the movies on iTunes. Maybe I will knock out a few this weekend.

I hope you all have a wonderful, safe, and happy Memorial Day Weekend! I will be laying out in the park during the day and drinking on a rooftop at night. Enjoy xo
