Over the weekend it was so beautiful here in New York; the sun was out, the temperature was around 80 degrees, and it felt amazing to be outside. I spent most of my staycation here in the city out and about, making sure I enjoyed the nice weather. One thing I did was throw on my swimsuit, went to the park and laid out. I brought along with me my new book Catch-22. I have never read it before and honestly didn’t know much about it except that it was a well-liked book.The sudden interest sparked after I started watching Hulu’s new mini-series Catch-22, starring George Clooney, Christopher Abbott (ugh, swoon!), and Kyle Chandler. After the first episode I went to Barnes and Noble and bought the book. If you have or have not read the book I still highly recommend the mini-series, it is really good!
Anyway, last summer I went a little crazy and bought a bunch of swimsuits from J.Crew. This summer I am trying not to buy any and save my pretty pennies for something else. Instead I have been mix and matching my suits to make them feel brand new. Even though I am not in the market to purchase a swimsuit it does not mean I can’t browse. Never say never, there are a lot of cute bikini’s and one-piece suits out there. I may end up buying a new one. I am happy to see that the high-waisted bikini is still a popular trend. I do not care if it looks unflattering on me, it’s comfortable and I like it. If I were to purchase a swimsuit for this summer, these are a few that I would be wearing poolside.
