snakeskin

A trend that has been slithering into our closet each fall season is the snakeskin print. Although it has been around for decades, I feel it’s become more of a staple piece rather than a trend. It’s the new leopard print as a classic, neutral look that pops. But just like the leopard print, snakeskin can range from classy to tacky as it depends on the style, fabric, color and the print itself. It’s a judgement call to make really. I have always preferred leopard over snakeskin but last year something in me sparked an interested in the wild print and have been coveting pieces ever since. This fall season I have been looking at different skirts, dresses, and boots to purchase. I finally bought these boots (haven’t arrived yet so not sure if they will work for me yet); as for a skirt I have yet to find the perfect piece for me. For a dress I am dying to get this one from Rotate . With its statement sleeve and fit and flare silhouette, I know I would live in it. If going all head to toe snakeskin is a little too much for you, try styling an outfit with a simple snakeskin purse or belt. Personally I would love to be able to pull off this snakeskin trench coat; it’s an item I believe Jackie Kennedy would wear paired with a chic all black ensemble, her famous oversized sunglasses, and Gucci mules. At least that is how I pictured myself styling the coat. However you style this exotic print, add a few snakeskin items to your wardrobe.
