Happy Friday!!  You can call me Jekyll and Mr. Hyde because I’ve been feeling some pretty intense oppositional emotions this past week. One minute I am happy-go-lucky, giggling, feeling grateful for everything, then the next minute want to flip over a table and yell at someone. #balance.

My J&H behavior started when I woke up Monday morning grumpy, angry, irritated and extremely tired. I was in a bad mood. The tired part is my own fault really; Saturday night I did not get to bed until 3am, and Sunday night I could not fall asleep until 4am. So on Monday I was feeling the wraths of sleep-deprived, and on top of that, some personal issues arose that sent me over the edge. I didn’t know what I could do to get out of this slump– taking personal time alone wasn’t working, breathing through my problems wasn’t helping, exercising wasn’t cutting it, and talking it out only fuel the fire. The only thing I could do was accept my mood, make sure my emotions don’t control my behavior and let it pass. As the week progressed my normal happy-self was coming back, but anxiety still lingers. Mostly due to the fact that I woke up Wednesday morning to fraud alerts from my bank. Apparently, two guys in Columbus, Ohio were trying to tag-team my bank account. They somehow got a hold of my cc number and tried to get money through their own Paypal account– that weirdly enough my cc card isn’t even on PP. Anyway, Paypal has excellent service and so does my bank! I first talked to Paypal to stop the payments– they were able to locate the guys (I know their names), their information, and they work with law enforcement to go after them. Pretty cool that they do this! It makes me feel even safer using their services. So I luckily stopped the guys from getting any money, had to close my credit card and live in peace knowing these two knuckleheads were dumb enough to use their Paypal accounts with their information on it. But still, it added to my frustrating week.

I luckily, because of my grouchy mood, did not have any events at the beginning of the week; letting me fume in private. Thank goodness because Wednesday was truly the best day ever! I was invited to the Carrie Underwood concert by her activewear brand Calia. There was a small group of us from different companies and professions. I believe I was the only blogger, which sometimes I find it nice to be. I love my fellow influencers, but it is nice to step outside the blogging-world and meet other people. Anyway,  we started the day by touring her workout trailer and meeting her personal trainer Eve Overland. If I were a famous singer I too would have a mobile gym to workout in every single day. After we toured the trailer and did a short Q&A with Eve, we went inside Madison Square Garden to do a 6-minute workout with her. 6mins  seemed like nothing at first, but it was no easy feat. We did a mixture of plyometric and static movements non-stop for the entire 6mins. I was happy when it was over. You think 6mins is nothing until you are in it huffing and puffing wanting to stop. And of course, if for it to be a short workout you think to yourself, I can’t modify the movements it’s only 6mins!! The workout was great and it was pretty cool to take a class from Carrie Underwood’s personal trainer. After the workout we went over to the Stewart Hotel to get glammed up for the concert.

Before the concert we were able to do a meet and greet with Carrie Underwood! She signed my ticket, took a photo with me, and waved goodbye. She was very soft-spoken, which I figured was due to her preserving her voice for the concert. But she was really nice and gorgeous! We watched the concert in the Lexus Suite in Madison Square Garden. I don’t know if I can ever go back to general admission after this luxurious event. Anyway, the concert was AMAZING!! She really has an incredible voice,  unbelievable! I am a fan of Carrie Underwood- I know most, if not all, of her popular songs, but I didn’t know every song that she played. It didn’t matter, I was having a ball. This was my first concert of hers, and I have to say that it probably will not be my last!

After a fun-filled Wednesday, my week was only just beginning. Thursday I was supposed to go to the Lela Rose Bridal Fashion Week Presentation, but they postponed it due to weather and the show was at Jackson Sq. Park. Unfortunately, this meant I had to miss the show this morning as I had a photoshoot already planned and couldn’t attend the show. Pretty bummed about it, but there was nothing I could do– my work comes first. I was able to catch a glimpse of it after my photoshoot as I was walking by to head home.

Last night I was invited to the launch of Sarah Jessica Parker’s collaboration with Sunglass Hut. Unfortunately, half of Manhattan was also invited and I had to wait in line forever to get in. After a little over a half an hour of waiting in line, SJP left the event and walked right passed me! After that, I left and didn’t go inside the party. Seeing her up close and personal was worth the 30 some-minute wait. So after my brush with SJP I went home.

Today is another busy day. As I mentioned I had a photoshoot earlier this morning and this afternoon I had the Amsale Bridal Fashion Week Presentation. The dresses were beautiful! I always love to look at bridal gowns and see which ones I personally would wear. I saw a few that I would definitely love to wear; strapless with a bow train, tiered tulle, timeless lace, and a cute rehearsal dinner dress that was a strapless mini with a bow on the back. My time will come when I get to wear such pretty gowns. Until then I am happy to be invited to bridal fashion shows so I can swoon over how stunning these dresses are!

This weekend I have nothing really planned except to look at apartments. I have seen about 3 apartments so far and didn’t like any of them. I have two I am seeing this weekend that I really love from what I can see from the pictures. Hoping one of them becomes my apartment! Remind me to never move during the months of September-end of December. It’s too much and very overwhelming. This is the busiest time of the year for influencers.  On top of events and collaborations, I am trying to find moments of free time to look at apartments. Unfortunately, this means I miss out on a few open houses because I have to attend an event. But that is life- everyone is busy and has to fit in apartment searches somehow. If you are also moving, you should check out the Serena and Lily sale– 20% off most items! It’s a pretty great deal!

Besides apartment viewings I know I will be working out, hanging out with friends, and watching Netflix. I haven’t yet, but I want to start watching The Politician! It looks so good– plus I love Ben Platt and Gwyneth Paltrow. Another great show on Netflix right now that I am watching is the docuseries called The Mind, Explained. It’s a 4 part docuseries, narrated by Emma Stone, that talks about how our brain works, how we store memory, the meaning of dreams, how anxiety feels etc. It is pretty interesting and I highly suggest watching! I have a lot to look forward to this weekend!

Have a wonderful weekend xo
