“It takes courage to bloom”
-Dhiman
Happy Friday!! It feels like everything is coming together and life has been pretty wonderful lately! It may be because we are on the cusp of the holiday season and it is my favorite time of the year, so everything feels lovely. Or maybe subconsciously living in my old apartment made me hold back on things. Who knows. What I do know is that it feels like the gates have opened and good things are flowing my way.
Last week I shared on my social accounts that I am in the November issue of Instyle Magazine from the Instyle Summer Soirée partnering with Vera Bradley!! I am over the moon excited about it! Going into the event everyone who attended knew that a select few of us were going to be in the magazine, but we didn’t know who. I did not find out until Instyle sent me the magazine and I flipped through to see my picture. I saw it, jumped up and down, cried, then put on Naughty by Nature “Hip Hop Hooray” and danced around my apartment.
This week I kicked off the holiday season with Talbots last night at their holiday party. I had the best time! They had a few arts and crafts sections like frosting your own cookies and making wreaths. I only opted to make a wreath to put on my front door. Mostly I spent the evening chatting with friends, enjoying a glass or two of champagne and taking in all of the festiveness surrounding me. Talbots gifted me an outfit to wear to the event– I wore this black turtleneck, these white pants, and these bow mules.
Also this past week I went to the Boden Spring/ Summer 2020 preview. They have such beautiful prints! I also must be living under a rock because I had no idea they are based out of London. I always thought of them as an east coast brand. Anyway, the spring collection looks amazing, and they have mini-me clothing that is adorable and I want to fit into. It’s hard to look at spring clothing when it is so cold outside, sigh. I still had fun and enjoyed getting to know the lovely women who work at Boden.
The only thing I have this weekend as of now is a little get together party tonight with friends. The rest of the weekend I will probably spend with a blanket wrapped around me and Netflix on the TV.
Have a wonderful weekend xo
