Happy Friday!! I flew home to Ohio today for a long week to celebrate Christmas with my family. I am pretty excited to go back home and see my family and friends. Most importantly, I am excited to see my niece; I was Facetiming her yesterday and the front door opened (it was my sister) and my niece started to cry when she found out it was not me. It made my heart melt! I have a few things planned when home, but what I am most excited about (except for Christmas) is to see the new Star Wars and Cats!! I can not wait!!
This past week I had a few holiday events to attend. Monday evening I went to the Instyle Winter Party at their offices in Tribeca. I had a blast catching up with friends and meeting new people. I always look forward to Instyle parties, especially their winter ones. It is always a good time and a great way to wear your best holiday dress!
Tuesday I decided to have a recovery day with some much-needed wellness treatments. I went to the new Exhale Spa in NoMad (on E 32nd Street). I first took their recovery class where we foam rolled and stretched. Afterward, I got a 20 minute back massage. Getting a massage right after foam rolling was pure heaven. It felt even more amazing as my muscles were already warmed up from the recovery class. My back is where I usually have the most tightness and knots. After my massage, I had a mini facial and facial lift. My skin has been feeling really dehydrated lately (’tis the season), and I am always game for doing anything that will tighten and lift my face. The facial lift is a device (just like the NuFace) that sends microcurrents through two little metal balls. It’s a great anti-aging device to tone, lift, and tighten your face. It is supposed to last for a few weeks. It can also be a substitute for botox, also works even better with botox treatment. I have never done botox and would much rather do this facial lift every few months. Anyway, the entire day was so relaxing and much needed.
Wednesday evening my friend Emily, owner of Accessories Girl, hosted an event at Burberry. It was a nice evening filled with champagne and shopping. I met some new friends and caught up with a friend I haven’t seen in a long time. The rest of the week I spent getting ready for the holiday, finally seeing the Rockefeller Christmas Tree and the 5th Ave. window displays, and of course worked out.
Have a wonderful weekend and a Merry Christmas xo
