One of the top trends, a fashion takeover of this season, is dark florals. From dresses to skirts to jumpsuits, from designer brands to fast-fashion, this quintessential summer print is now moody and dark. It’s a variety of bold blooms on a dark background that makes your winter wardrobe feel feminine.

One of my favorite ways to wear this trend is by pairing a dark floral printed skirt with a sweater. It still feels like a winter outfit that is different from an all-black ensemble or wearing jeans. Although it is a trend of the fall and winter, it is a great way to transition into the spring season. I can easily switch my sweater for a lighter colored blouse. For someone, like myself, who is a feminine dresser, wearing florals allows me to continue to stay in my personal style when the aesthetics is gloomy.
