When I was little, my sister and I loved to pull out our parent’s croquet set and play. Neither one of us really knew how to play or kept score, we enjoyed trying to hit our designated color ball through the wickets. Our croquet set originally belonged to my grandparents. I would guess it is about 50 years old, and still in (somewhat) great shape. I have a lot of fond memories of playing croquet with my sister, and my parents. When I am married with kids living in a house, I want to buy a croquet set of my own and create new memories with the classic, beloved game.

Since being cooped up inside for so long, I am finding different ways to get outside. Whether playing tennis or simply reading a book on the patio, I am trying to get as much fresh air and vitamin D as possible. I decided last week to pull out the old croquet set to play, still not keeping score or really understanding the rules. Maybe someday I will take a dive into the rule book. Until then I will enjoy setting up the wickets and hitting the ball through as I please. It is a relaxing game that is fun for the entire family to play, especially now when we are spending so much time at home.
