There is so much happening in the world today that Father’s Day seems to be in the back of everyone’s mind. The day to celebrate all the special men in your life is around the corner- June 21st. I will still be here in Columbus on Father’s Day to celebrate with my parents. Although I am eager to get back to New York, I am glad that I will be here. My dad means the world to me, he truly is the greatest man I have ever known.
Whether you are buying for your father, your husband, or both, there is a gift that will show how much you appreciate him. My go-to gift for my dad is a book- usually about American history. This new book from Chris Wallace, who is a veteran journalist, talks about the days leading up to the attack on Hiroshima. My dad has been talking about wanting to read it. Another go-to gift for my dad is a polo or button-down shirt, both are always needed. He really likes the Brooks Brothers polo shirts as they fit nicely on him. If I wanted to go a little outside of the box with a gift I would get him a Yeti cooler, a traveling size grill, or a turntable. Recently I went through my parent’s old vinyl collection that is a little dusty. Although we still have a vinyl record player (that is an all in one with a CD and tape player), I think this turntable would be much appreciated.
