Happy Friday!! Game. Set. Match. I have been glued to the TV all week watching the US Open. It is my favorite time of the year in sports, and I am sad I am unable to attend a match as I usually do each year. At least I can still watch it live on television, so I must count my blessings. I am happy that Naomi and Serena are still in the tournament, I wouldn’t mind either one of them winning the Grand Slam. I am so sad that Murray lost last night! He was my top choice for men’s singles, one last win for his career. I like Djokovic and will now cheer for him (was also cheering for Isner but he lost round 1). Hoping Djokovic pulls another win!

The US Open has basically taken over the majority of my time and interest. I did go for a run yesterday, which felt great. As much as I love summer, I am looking forward to cooler temps for running. The sun was strongly beating down causing a burn from my AirPods on my left ear. Even though I make sure to always wear sunscreen, I must have forgotten to put some on my ears. It doesn’t hurt, just feels uncomfortable when I put my headphones in. It still will not stop me from going on another run this weekend.

It’s Labor Day Weekend and like most of you, I’ll probably do nothing special. My goodness, my life seems so boring this year. I am thinking about maybe taking a day trip to Connecticut. There isn’t a particular reason, I just want to go and walk around the neighborhoods. I have only been to Connecticut once last year with Sail to Sable. We were in Darien, CT. I really want to walk around Greenwich and see what all the fuss is about. Living in Connecticut is a possibility for the future (along with some other possible locations); a place I want to settle down in a house with kids, etc. I want to actually see for my own eyes what my future life may possibly look like if I do end up moving there. I will report back after my visit if CT is still on the table for the future.

I thought about going to one of the museums that have opened, but feel like everyone is going to go. I may wait to do it on a weekday. Instead I may just walk around the UES and hang out in Central Park; both of which I have yet to do since the beginning of the year. I have been to West Village, Chelsea, South Street Seaport, Gramercy, Soho, and FIDI (sorta). I want to hit all the areas of Manhattan and travel to parts of Brooklyn. This is how I go on “vacation” nowadays.

What I am watching: Still trying to finish Homeland so I can cancel my Showtime subscription. Finishing up RHOBH and RHONY. Both have been amazing this season, but extremely frustrating. These women, my God. I am on Denise’s side in the whole argument. I love the addition of Garcelle and Sutton to the group as well. RHONY is just a hot mess, the whole thing. It’s a trainwreck you can’t stop watching.

What I bought this week: This floral embroidered cardigan and this floral embroidered sweater in blue. Both on sale right now! I am not sure if I will keep both (I haven’t received either one yet). I want to try them on before I make a decision. I am favoring the cardigan as I think I would wear it more. Plus I already have a lot of blue crewneck sweaters. But you never know! I also bought these tea towels (also on sale!). I wanted nice, decorative tea towels for my kitchen. I am not planning on using them but have them there for decor. I have other tea towels I will use for dishes and spills. Towels that I do not care if they get dirty.

This weekend, as mentioned, I have nothing exciting on the agenda. I do know I want to get out and explore a new location. I am having one of those weeks where I feel defeated and lonely. I need fresh air, good music, and a change of scenery.

Have a wonderful weekend xo
