If you are like me then you need a desperate break from the headache of this election. I took these past few days off for my own mental health, but now I feel it’s time to get back to life. To bring us all back together as a nation and here on Blush and Blooms with a shared common interest called fashion. Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away and I, for one, am so excited to start celebrating the holiday season!

What do you normally wear on Thanksgiving? Some years I elevate my TDay outfit with a cute fall dress (see post here). Some years I wear leggings with an oversize sweater. Mostly, however, I wear a skirt paired with a sweater for a casual, yet elevated look. Being comfortable is my main goal during Thanksgiving, but I still want to look put together and fashionable. Something I can sit all day in while eating everything in sight, yet still look presentable and feel good.

These last few years I have had a thing for silk skirts. A silver skirt for the holiday season and a blush skirt for the spring and summer. Originally when I was looking at skirts for the fall season I wanted a shade of green; perhaps hunter green or olive. Brown is not a color I would normally choose, if not ever. However, when I saw this floral skirt I just had to have it. It’s a skirt I can pull out in 5 years from now and will still be on-trend. The beauty of the florals paired with the brown was too stunning to pass on. I read in a few reviews that there were issues with the zipper not laying properly when worn, but mine is completely fine. I am wearing a size 2 for reference.
