A lot has changed this year, one being our fitness routine. We’ve had to create makeshift gyms and exercise studios in our tiny apartments or basements. While our beloved studios closed, we signed up to take their at-home workouts. Fitness motivation has a new meaning and a little bit more of a struggle to find. At the beginning of the pandemic, I luckily had a pair of 5lb weights and a yoga mat, but I needed more to keep up with my exercise regime.
As days pass by I have accumulated more and more fitness equipment to use at home. I’ve taken to running more outside and going for fast-paced long walks when the weather is nice. I dance in my apartment while hitting my closet one too many times. Working out is not what it once was, but it can still be part of our daily lives. If you have someone in your life who is just starting their fitness journey, gifting them hand weights or a new pair of leggings will help motivate them. If the person loves to exercise, then they will appreciate new equipment to use during their at-home workouts. I, for one, want sliders to use for my sculpt classes instead of using brown paper bags as I currently do. And I could always use new leggings and workout tanks.
