As we quickly approach the start of spring I am getting excited for all the things that the season has to offer. Flowers will start to bloom, the weather will be warmer, and we can spend more time outside. Although the start of spring is at the end of March, I’ve always considered Easter to truly be the starting point. No matter what the weather may be, everyone puts on their brightest, most spring-like apparel to celebrate. Easter is one of my favorite holidays and it’s because of this. The first time we get to put on a spring dress. The start of a new season.

When it comes to dressing for Easter it can be a little tricky. I’ve experienced snow on Easter day and also temperatures in the 70’s. A great way to dress for Easter that can be tailored to whatever the weather may be is a midi dress. What I love about a good midi dress is that it’s long enough to keep you warm but you are not swallowed up by fabric. It’s also comfortable to wear and can be worn with heels, sneakers, ankle boots, or flats.

Easter this year will once again be celebrated with a smaller, more intimate group than in the past. And of course we will not be able to attend church service, but we can still dress up to celebrate. This floral dress form Rebecca Taylor (on sale!) is fancy enough to wear for a special occasion but can also be worn casually. I love the dark florals that play on the aesthetics of spring while keeping it appropriate for the colder weather. I’ve gathered a few midi dresses that I think would be perfect to wear this Easter.
