Happy Friday! After a few rainy days I am looking forward to a weekend filled with sunshine. I really need to get out of the apartment and clear my head. One of the worst parts about the pandemic is we can’t hug, and I could really use a hug right now. I miss being in a room filled with friends and hugging them upon arrival. Or being around my family and getting a good bear hug from my parents. Or something much better, a hug from my nieces.
My week wasn’t completely gloomy. I enjoyed a few beautiful days in Central Park. I took a walk around the Jackie O Reservoir, which I haven’t been to in God knows how long. It’s been years. Anyway, it was so nice to walk around the park and enjoy the scenery. I made two new friends– a male and female mallard duck just sitting on the edge of the trail, completely unbothered by us humans taking photos. Definitely city ducks. Besides my new besties, the cherry blossom trees were blooming and looked absolutely beautiful. A few days later I met up with my photographer Lauren to take photos of me under the trees. I can’t wait to share!
Last weekend was also spent watching the Masters. I throughly enjoyed it this year. I was rooting for Jordan Spieth, but am glad Hideki won. He deserved it! He was consistently the best throughout the tournament. Who knew I would be into golf as an adult… not my younger self that is for sure. Now I have added going to Augusta, Georgia to attend the Masters on my life bucket list.
What I am watching: After lots of convincing from Lauren, my photographer, I started watching Ginny and Georgia on Netflix. I really had no interest in watching it as I thought it looked terrible in the previews. However, Lauren kept insisting it was good so I gave it a try. It ends up that I actually like it. I am only on episode 4 I believe, but have been enjoying the show. Although I can’t stand Ginny- she is so rude to her mom. But I guess that’s teenagers? It would be my funeral if I spoke to my mom in public the way she does. Still I am enjoying the show and looking forward to more reveals of Georgia’s past.
What I bought: The Loft is currently having a 50% off sale. Although I love a lot of the items that are part of the new arrivals, I ended up only getting this white blouse. I bought the smock blouse because I’ve been searching for a white top that I can wear with skirts and shorts that didn’t have a high neck nor a low cut, and was not a t-shirt or a sweater. I may go back and purchase a few more items–here are my top picks. If I go back to buy something else it will be this cute pajama set and this white puff sleeve dress.
Speaking of sales. Today is the last day for the Shopbop Style Event sale. I’ve been sharing all of my must-have items from the sale on my LTK page. My new floral skirt and bow mules are part of the sale.
This weekend is suppose to be nice and I am looking forward to spending as much time outside as possible. I want to venture over to Brooklyn and discover new areas I haven’t been to like Cobble Hill. I may also venture over to Prospect Park. It’s been almost 9 years since I’ve been to the park and would love to frolic around that area. I do want to go on a run/walk at some point since I haven’t been able to this past week. Tomorrow morning I will be watching Prince Philip’s funeral like the rest of the world. It’s going to be sad to watch. Other than that my weekend will be filled with the usual- reading, working out, and Netflix.
