Happy Friday!! I am fully vaccinated and ready to mingle! Wednesday morning I received my 2nd COVID vaccine shot and I feel like a whole new woman. Surprisingly, and luckily, I have not had any side effects from the 2nd dose. The 1st shot knocked me out actually. I had body aches, mild migraines, and a stomach ache. Now after my 2nd shot, I feel like I could go out dancing until 4am. I am ready to put on my party shoes and socialize!
In all honesty, I need off of this island. I need to do something, I am going stir crazy. The vaccine shot was the most exciting thing to have happened to me this week….. actually in months. Hoping for a fun-filled social summer. I’ve been day dreaming of being at a cute boutique hotel or an inn close to the beach. Me sitting on the porch with a drink in my hand watching the sunset, after a day spent sunbathing. Ah, the good life.
I apologize if you were looking for my blog post this past week about J.Crew going sustainable. The post self-deleted. I honestly have no clue what happened to it. I didn’t delete it nor is it in the trash to recover. No one else besides me and Chloe Digital have access to my blog. There wasn’t a software update that caused the deletion of the post. It just disappeared, vanished without a trace. Chloe Digital is currently looking into this mysterious disappearance. However, I luckily posted the items on my LTK app for you to shop. You can head there to browse the items and not have to read my gibberish– so really it’s a win for you.
What I am watching: My cousin texted me that she has heard great things about Mare of Easttown on HBO. I hadn’t heard of it, but was willing to check it out. Then Dan Levy tweeted his stamp of approval. If it’s good enough for Dan Levy, it’s good enough for me. And he was right– the show is really good! I haven’t seen the latest episode but I have a few working theories. My guesses are either the dad or Mare’s cousin who is the priest. But I could be completely wrong!
What I bought: After H&M dropped their newest floral collection last week, I ended up getting this off the shoulder dress. I am still waiting for it’s arrival, but am excited to hopefully wear it this summer. On a whim I decided to get these high waist bike shorts in navy to match my racerback sports bra. Last but not least I bought underwear, as I needed new ones. I got this original rise thong in black, and this retro high waist thong also in black.
I, unfortunately, will not be spending Mother’s Day with my mom in Ohio. Instead we will celebrate through FaceTime. And I will be having pancakes Sunday morning in her honor of course. It is suppose to rain all weekend which is such a bummer. I will have to make the most of it with indoor activities–perhaps head to a museum or art exhibition. At least with the rain it means I will have ample time to finish my book this weekend and get a new one
