Happy Friday! How is it already June? Has this year flown by for anyone else? Maybe it’s because last year felt like so long with being locked inside for most of it. Still, I can’t believe we are already half way through 2021.

My anxiety this week has been, for some reason, pretty bad. Wednesday may have been the worst, the heart of it. While I was at Whole Foods I had to pull my cart over to the side and count to 5 while I took deep breaths. I pretended to look through the frozen food section while trying to slow my breathing, steady my heart rate, and calm my shaking body. Plus the cold air from the freezer felt nice. When I got home I did one of Obé Fitness yoga classes that started out with a breathing exercise. It really helped calm my mind and lowered my anxiety levels. I am still feeling a little anxious and need to remind myself to take deep breaths, but I can feel that I am coming out of it. I believe I get post PMS. That is usually when my anxiety and depression is at its worst– right after my menstrual cycle. I’ve read it can be due to estrogen and serotonin levels dipping low during your period. Obviously I am self diagnosing, but there seems to be a pattern here so I am rolling with it. Anyway, I am feeling much better and know I will be fine.

Did you have a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend? It rained the entire time here in New York. I went to the Guggenheim Museum to wander around and get out of my apartment. I enjoyed strolling through the different exhibitions and looking at the creative works of art and sculptures. My 3 favorites were the Thannhauser Collection that included works from Degas, Picasso, etc, the Pollock mural and sculptures exhibit, and an exhibition of artwork done by elementary school children around NYC. The children’s art exhibit was adorable and most definitely my favorite!

What I am watching: the new Disney movie Cruella! I absolutely love, love, loved it! I thought it was creative and so well done. Give Emma Stone and Emma Thompson every award– they did a phenomenal job! The fashion in the movie alone is worth seeing. Both Emma Stone and Emma Thompson look impeccable, I wanted their entire wardrobe. If you haven’t seen it yet, I highly recommend.

What I bought: I did not purchase anything new this week but there are a few new launches and a great sale to shop. Tuckernuck’s newest sports collection is really good! I had a hard time deciding what items I wanted from the line. Once I did figure out what I wanted to buy, by the time I went back to purchase it the item was sold out in my size. Fingers cross they restock!! I am still deciding on two other items– this sports bra and these leggings. I may end up getting both- just have to pull the trigger and hit the purchase button. Net-a-Porter is having a sale this week where items are up to 50% off. I shared some of my must-have items here and the best summer dresses here. Nordstrom is also having a sale and have a lot of great items to shop. And last but not least, the H&M x Brock Collection collaboration launched a few of their capsule pieces– more to come in the next few weeks!

This weekend is suppose to be nice out, thankfully! I haven’t made any solid plans but hopefully meeting up with a friend for drinks. I know I will go for a run and most likely lay out in the park at some point. I may frolic around the city or hit another museum. We shall see! I am wishing I was back in Columbus this weekend and at the Memorial Tournament. I love leisurely walking the greens with a drink in hand, chatting with most likely my sister. Maybe next year I will be able to go back, instead I will watch some of it on TV.

Have a wonderful weekend xo
