During this past summer things here in New York seem to be back to normal. People are out and about; dining at restaurants, roaming around museums, gathering with friends. It’s been lovely to see. On top of everything reopening and people enjoying their lives again, date night is back. Whether you are in a relationship or still scrolling through Bumble, romance is not dead. You walk along the city streets and you see couples hand in hand, laughing over drinks, and kissing on stoops. New York is filled with love.

Date night looks can vary depending on what you do. With so many date activities to do here in New York, finding the right outfit can be tricky. And depending on whether or not this is the first date or you are a few years in can change up your look. One classic date night look I usually go for in the summer is a slit skirt paired with a cute top. It works for most date night activities (pair it with sneakers for a casual look). It’s fashionable, sexy, and still modest. This is an outfit I can wear for future dates in the early fall. I can even switch out my top for a long sleeve blouse or sweater paired with the skirt. Or wear the ruffle top (which also comes in other prints) with your favorite pair of jeans. This date night look is ready for whatever and wherever the romance may take you.
