Happy Friday! Have you packed away all of your summer dresses and now wearing chunky sweaters while drinking hot beverages? I am not quite there yet. Well besides the hot beverage, I drink hot matcha daily. Wearing fall clothing, however, I am not physically nor mentally there yet. Soon, I will be forced to but until then I am still enjoy my flowy dresses.
This past Tuesday I was invited to DanceBody’s TikTok event. We worked out to popular TikTok music and did dances inspired by the famous TikTok routines. It was a lot of fun! It felt amazing to dance and sweat. To let loose and have a good time. DanceBody is now going on tour to certain cities, which you can find dates and locations here. If you are in one in of these cities I highly suggest attending. You do not have to be a dancer to join.
Also this past week I started a new food delivery service, Eat to Evolve. It’s fresh pre-made meals delivered to your home every week. All you have to do is microwave the meals and you are ready to go. Each week you select new meals for the following week. Some meals you are able to freeze incase you want to save them for a later date. Everything is gluten free which is amazing! You can also pick paleo and keto items. For my first week I tried a few dinners, breakfasts, and desserts. I have enjoyed everything so far. The meals are affordable- it’s cheaper for me to go through Eat to Evolve than it is to go grocery shopping every week. If you would like to try, take 20% off your first order with code BLUSH&BLOOMS.
What I am watching: Last weekend I started watching 9 Perfect Strangers. My sister recommended it and I have heard great things about the mini series through social media. I am only on episode 4 or 5 I believe. I am really enjoying it. It is well written, the actors are incredible, and the storyline gets you hooked. I texted my sister in the beginning and said that this spa retreat looks amazing and I would 100% go. She answered “um keep watching”. Ha!
Like most of America I have been very invested in the Gabby Petito case. I have a few people that I follow on Instagram and Twitter to find out information. Most important: Brian Entin, from NewsNation Now, who has been on top of this case since it broke. Like most of the internet, I have been deciphering clues trying to put the pieces together. I’ve been down the rabbit hole of conspiracy theories and public opinions. I don’t know why I am so engulfed in this case. I usually stay away from such things because it’s too much, too heavy, too scary to think about. But this case, I don’t know what it is. Maybe it’s because there is so much for us to unpack thanks to the internet; the books he reads (the parallel to Lullaby), their social media posts, the random encounters, the possible triple murder, and him being on the run. It’s like watching a novel or a movie play out in real time. It’s also that my heart breaks for Gabby and her family. It’s the unthinkable that could be anyones reality. I want justice for them. I pray there will be. I pray they find him soon.
What I bought: I decided on a whim to purchase this ribbed knit sweater dress in cream. I am excited to try it on and see if it fits. Sometimes sweater dresses are a hit or miss for me. They either hug too tightly around the thighs but is too loose around the stomach, or it’s too loose all around and it’s unflattering. Hoping this fits nicely so I can wear it while working from home or out to dinner if I wanted. Possibly Thanksgiving dinner outfit?
This weekend I am going to the exhibition: Experience The Times of Bill Cunningham. For those who may not know who Bill Cunningham is, he was a famous fashion photographer for the New York Times. He is known for his candid street photography. He also worked for Women’s Wear Daily for a while. I believe he worked for the NYT from the late 70’s until his death in 2016. Anyway, I am excited to see his work! Other than the exhibition, I will most likely spend the weekend frolicking around the city.
Have a wonderful weekend xo
