“When I started counting my blessings, my whole life turned around.”

-Willie Nelson

Happy Friday! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and were able to celebrate with family or friends. I was fortunate to celebrate with a few of my family members at my parents house. The greatest blessing of them all was spending the entire day with my grandmother.

We started the day watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade, followed by Hallmark movies, the National Dog Show, and football. We spent the rest of the day preparing Thanksgiving dinner. My grandmother always prepares the turkey, while my dad carves. My aunts and uncle were also there to celebrate. I learned more about both of my grandfather’s being in WWII – I’ve been on a mission to learn as much as I can about my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and parents. Anyway, my sister and brother-in-law hosted their own Thanksgiving with my BIL family. They were truly missed at the dinner table. Still it was wonderful to be with my family again. For that I am very grateful.

I’ve been in Columbus since Saturday morning and it’s been a whirlwind. I was joking with my dad and said it’s more of a vacation for me to be in NYC. All jokes aside I am counting my blessings that I get to spend all this time with my family. My niece turned 1years old so we celebrated her birthday with a princess party theme. I got to wear a tiara. As a typical 1year old she didn’t care much for what was going on, but I know she was enjoying herself being around so much family. I got her this first year photo frame — which is more of a gift to her parents. She will appreciate it once she gets older. Until then she enjoyed playing with her new toys.

What I am watching: ‘Tis the season for Hallmark Christmas movies. Whether old or new I love them all. We watched the new one with Teri Hatcher and James Denton, A Kiss Before Christmas, which I liked the Desperate Housewives reunion. Some other favorites of mine are the Godwink ones. It’s wonderful to see God’s miracles and blessings happening in little ways. Makes you pay extra attention to the coincidences in your life. Hallmark movies really are the best. There are a few I am looking forward to: An Unexpected Christmas with Bethany Joy Lenz (OTH fan!) and Tyler Hynes, and The Christmas Contest with Candance Cameron Bure and John Brotherton – a Fuller House reunion!

What I bought: Black Friday sales have already started and I have shopped a little here and there. I bought this puff-sleeved black top for 40% off. Great to wear for the holidays and a regular night out. I finally bought these bow earrings for 30% off from Nicola Bathie that I have been dreaming about for a long time.

This weekend I am heading over to my sisters for a few days. My brother-in-law is going fishing with family. I am heading over to their house to help out with the girls and spend quality time with them. It’s going to be a great weekend! We will be watching the Ohio State vs. *ichigan game, probably watch a lot of Bravo and Hallmark movies. Just enjoy being in each other’s company.

Have a wonderful weekend xo
