When we think of holiday colors to wear, you have your typical red, green, white, and silver. The red is usually the bold, blood red of the season. We often over look various shades of red such as wine and burgundy. Wearing burgundy for the holidays is a great way to stay in the Christmas spirit while not being too on point with the theme. Burgundy is a color palette you can wear throughout the fall, winter, and even the beginning of spring.
This burgundy dress (wearing a small) was one that I had to have, not only for the holidays but for any and all occasions that may come my way. It’s a great dress to wear to holiday parties, weddings, date nights, and so on. I love the puffy sleeves and bow detailing. And one can never go wrong with a skirt that you can twirl in. This dress is my favorite non-holiday, holiday look.
Burgundy isn’t always a color I choose for my fall and winter wardrobe, but is one I am starting to appreciate. I love the beautiful dark hue that is elegant like your favorite Merlot. Burgundy, like wine, stands for sophistication, ambition, wealth, and power. Who doesn’t want to be wrapped up in such a symbolic color. If you are wanting to do something different this year, here are a few wonderful burgundy outfits to wear this holiday season.
