“Everything always ends up working out, sometimes even better than you can imagine”

-Moonomens

Happy Friday! It is another snow-filled weekend here in NYC. I can’t complain, I’ll take any excuse to cuddle up with a blanket on the couch and read my book. So far the snow is doable to walk around in, but I am prepared for the big snowstorm heading our way.

After a lazy week last week, I am back to being my productive self this week. I had a photoshoot with my photographer Lauren. I do love shooting outfits, but it’s pretty brutal to do it in the 20 degree weather. I also shot a Valentine’s Day look where I am wearing a slip dress. Not the smartest choice, but it’s part of the job. By the time I was done with the hour-long shoot I was freezing cold. I ran home and threw on sweats and covered myself in blankets. Luckily I did not catch a cold.

Last weekend I went to the Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum. The museum did a beautiful job curating the exhibition. You walk through different rooms; each with a theme like the 18th Century Room, Miss Dior, Atelier, Stars of Dior, Colorama, Enchanted Garden, and more. I loved how they categorized each Creative Director, the 6 successors at the House of Dior, creations. Seeing each designers vision for the brand throughout the years was interesting. There are some jaw-dropping, stunningly gorgeous dresses at the exhibition. One could spend an entire day there, just taking in all the beauty. You wouldn’t have to twist my arm to wear anything from Dior, but the Miss Dior dress and this floral dress from the SS 2017 Haute Couture collection made me weak in the knees. Here is a sneak peak at the exhibition.

What I am watching: I started season 4 of The Ozark last night. I’ve only watched one episode so far, but enjoyed it. I probably shouldn’t have skipped the “previously on” portion because I forgot the majority of what has happened in the last few seasons; I couldn’t remember who Ben was. Once everything clicked, I enjoyed the premiere and am excited to binge the rest of the season.

What I bought: The only thing I bought this week were two 12 piece boxes of cookies  from Insomnia Cookies for my parents and my sister, nieces, and BIL. For no particular reasoning, just because. I also bought new KN95 mask from evolvetogether. I can’t believe I am about to say (type) these words…. but they are trendy right now. I see everyone on the streets of NYC wearing evolvetogether. So I looked into the mask and I like that they are double filtered and 6 layers. One layer has activated charcoal to reduce oder. No wonder these mask are so popular. It’s 5 for $15, which I think is a good price. You can also get regular masks as well a children sizes. They are backordered and sell out quickly. You can purchase them here, here, here, and here. They come in different colors but I ended up buying them in black. I already have a few KN95 mask in white, but they get so dirty quickly. I want a darker color so it will last longer.

This weekend I have nothing planned. I am waiting to see how the snowstorm will play out. Whether I spend all day Saturday cozy and comfortable inside or if I can mosey around the city. I am going to DanceBody on Sunday, so I do need to practice the dances beforehand. I purchase the breakdown videos and record them. This way I can practice the dances at home and to also do them at home after the quarter is up– especially if I really like a dance. Other than a potential snowed-in lazy day, I will probably finish my book and get a new one, post more items on Poshmark, shop for outfits to wear on my vacation in Florida coming up, and to relax.

Have a wonderful weekend xo
