Happy Friday!! By this time tomorrow I will be in sunny Florida, relaxing without a care in the world. I am very excited for my vacation and much needed vitamin D. I want to treat this time as a way to really recharge. This is the first real vacation I have taken that has nothing to do with work or a Bachelorette in over 10 years, so I want to take full advantage of this time. I will not be posting at all here on the blog next week, but I will be posting on IG stories and on my feed.

Besides getting ready for my trip to Florida (shared my packing list here), this past week was pretty good! From socializing to seeing live performances, things feel back to normal. Last weekend I went to see Artists at the Center. Tiler Peck, who is a principle dancer for NYCB, created a program with diverse dancers from ABT, NYCB, tap dancers, modern dancers, and a cappella singers. The performance was held at The New York City Center on w 55th st. I believe this was my first time at the City Center, but a part of me thinks I saw Paul Taylor Dance Company perform there when I was in college visiting with my dance department. Anyway, the entire performance was truly amazing and it felt so good to finally see live dancing again after almost 3 years!!

There were only 4 pieces in the entire show. The first one was choreographed by Tiler Peck and performed by a variety of ballet dancers from both NYCB and ABT. The next piece was a pas de deux with Tiler and Herman Cornejo. The next piece, which my favorite as well as the audiences, was Time Spell. It started off with tap dancer Michelle Dorrance dancing, accompanied by 2 singers and a musical meter. The ballet dancers performed to the a cappella sound and to Michelle’s taps. It blew me away. The audience gave a roaring standing ovation as the curtains closed for intermission. I have never seen that before. The last dance was a beautiful contemporary piece with Tiler, Lex Ishimoto, Brooklyn Mack, and Herman Cornejo. The entire show was truly amazing and I am so grateful I was able to see it. I left feeling so inspired.

This past Tuesday was International Women’s Day and what better way to celebrate than with 4 women owned businesses; DanceBody, Addison Bay, Veronica Beard, and CWT Consulting Group. We started our day at the DanceBody studio uptown on E 64th st. I have never been to this studio before, and honestly didn’t even know it existed. DanceBody rents a studio for a few classes a week for their uptown clients. So if you are on the UES, definitely check it out. Anyway, we had a dance + sculpt class with Katia, owner of DanceBody, while wearing our Addison Bay workout outfits. I didn’t get my workout clothes prior to the event, but luckily I have enough Addison Bay clothing to wear like these blue leggings I religiously wear. However, I went home with a floral matching set; sports bra and high waisted leggings. Can’t wait to work out in them soon!

The workout was hard but fun! As you all know I love DanceBody and Katia is amazing. She really worked us! After the workout we walked over to the Veronica Beard store on Madison ave for a shop + sip event. It was nice to chat with people; catch up with old friends and meet new people. I didn’t buy anything, but hopefully people were shopping because Veronica Beard has great items for spring!. I am loving this white eyelet maxi dress. The whole day was wonderful all thanks to Caroline, the founder of CWT Consulting Group. Caroline has done amazing work since starting her company in 2020. I loved meeting and getting to know Caroline during the entire event and can’t wait to work with her more in the future.

What I am watching: I did not start anything new, mostly catching up on shows. Last weekend I watched Free Guy with Ryan Reynolds. I have to be honest I originally had no desire to watch the movie, but everyone on Twitter kept raving about it. I decided to give it a try and loved it. It’s a cute movie that I think anyone would love at any age. It’s funny but also heartwarming. I apologize to Ryan Reynolds for judging a book by it’s cover. I usually like Ryan Reynolds movies and Ryan himself. I think Ryan is funny and definitely one of the most handsomest men in Hollywood, so that also helps. Anyway, I enjoyed the movie and recommend it.

What I bought: The only thing I bought this week was a new book to read while I leisurely lay by the pool. I wanted something fun and easy to read; a romcom. I have been hearing a lot about The Love Hypothesis on Twitter and all of the book Instagram accounts I follow, so had to pick it up. I have already read a few pages and am enjoying it so far.

As mentioned numerous times, I am heading to Florida this weekend. I have nothing planned except to take things day by day. To spend time by the pool, on the beach, with my family, and to frolic around Marco Island.

Have a wonderful weekend xo
