Happy Friday and happy Platinum Jubilee to Her Majesty and those of us who celebrate!! I love any and all things Royal family. I have been up bright and early watching all of the festivities of the Jubilee. Swooning over everything The Duchess of Cambridge wears. I’ve really enjoyed seeing all the Royals together, the lighting of the tree, Trooping The Colour, and everything in between. How cute was Prince Louis and his facial expressions!! I was dying laughing. Excited to see what else is in store for the celebration!

I have been in Columbus since last weekend and have enjoyed every second of being with my family. For Memorial Day my aunt and uncle came over for a small cookout. We had burgers and bratwurst. Earlier that day I went to visit my grandmother at her new apartment at the assistant living facility. It was so great to see her and spend time with her.

Besides Memorial Day celebrations my parents and I went shopping, but didn’t buy anything. We went out to dinner to my favorite Mexican restaurant El Vaquero, and also went to Old Bag of Nails. My mom and I took a walk around Park of Roses, where I took a ton of photos of flowers. My parents babysit my nieces a few times a week, so I have spent a lot of time with them; playing in the baby pool, going on walks, playing Slap Jack, and more. I love those two little girls so much!

Wednesday evening I went to see the new Top Gun movie with my dad. It was really good! We both enjoyed it! I liked how it’s a continuation of the story instead of trying to remake the original. It’s nostalgic while also being new and fresh. Highly suggest seeing it!

This morning my dad and I went to the Memorial Tournament. We walked around the first 5 greens; watching people tee off and putt. We had lunch at one of the Villa’s where the company my dad used to work for always rents out. It’s a nice little break from walking around in the heat. We got to see Jordan Spieth and Rory Mcilroy play, which was pretty cool! I was hoping to see Scottie Scheffler, but unfortunately he didn’t make the trip. The entire morning was fun and I loved spending it with my dad.

What I am watching: Since I am at my parents house I have not started any new series (not even Stranger Things!). We’ve been mostly watching war movies (my dad), the shows my parents watch, and Hallmark movies. Last weekend we watched the new Mark Wahlberg and Tom Holland movie Unchanted. They go on a treasure hunt to find missing gold from the 1400’s. It’s a pretty standard treasure hunt movie trope, but it’s still good!

What I bought: The only thing I bought this past week was a new book. I started reading The Magnificent Lives of Marjorie Post. It’s a fictional tale of the life of Marjorie Post who is an American socialite and business woman– of the Post Cereal Company. It’s pretty interesting so far.

This weekend is my niece’s first dance recital. I am SO excited to watch her dance! She is going to be so cute in her costume. I will also be playing tennis with dad at some point. Mostly enjoying the rest of the time I have here with my family. I head back to New York on Sunday, so will spend the rest of the weekend traveling and relaxing.
