Happy Friday! Are you listening to “Break My Soul” on repeat like I am? I can’t get enough of Beyoncé’s new song! It not only makes me want to dance, but also gives me a boost in confidence. It’s definitely my anthem song this summer!

This past week was a busy one! Monday evening I went to the NYC premiere of the American Ballet Theatre’s Of Love and Rage. Alexi Ratmansky choreographed the ballet a few years ago. ABT premiered the piece in California in early 2020 with plans on adding it to the Met Season. As we all know the pandemic hit and ABT hasn’t had a Met Season since 2019. Now that the season is back they were finally able to premiere the ballet here in NYC. Of Love and Rage is based off of a novel (set in Ancient Greece) published in the late 1700’s called Callirhoe. It’s a love story between Callirhoe and Chaereas. The ballet is stunningly beautiful with fluid movements, gorgeous costumes and set designs, and an enthralling storyline. It doesn’t follow a traditional ballet repertoire. There are pas de duex, but does not have variations. The night that I saw the performance, Catherine Hurlin and Aran Bell were the leads. When I worked at ABT years ago, Catherine was in the JKO school and also taking Summer Intensives (which at the time I was an assistant for). It was surreal and wonderful to see her on stage performing in a principal role– she is currently a soloist at the company. Both Catherine and Aran did a phenomenal job– I was blown away by the entire ballet.

Tuesday evening I went to an open house for Ryan Serhant real estate company. Ryan Serhant is one of the originals of Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing. I have only watched the first season (years ago), but I do know of Ryan and his company. One of his employees is getting his own real estate reality show, so they were filming that evening. I was inviting through a friend who works at the Serhant company. She invited me to the filming and to view the 12million dollar apartment located in Tribeca that was for sale. The apartment is very modern for typical NYC real estate. It’s two floors with an amazing wrap around terrace and a HUGE walk-in closet for the main bedroom. The evening was fun and it was pretty cool to see a reality show filmed. I do not know what network the show will be one – I asked and they were not allowed to tell me. Lame. I have been to events at Penthouse apartments in New York, but never to an open house. I felt like I was one of the Selling Sunset girls.

Wednesday I went to Hamptons for the day to celebrate National Wicker Day with J.McLaughlin and Blair Eadie. It was truly one of the best days! I had the most amazing time and met some really incredible women. The event took place at Wölffer Estate. Unfortunately it was raining so we couldn’t fully enjoy the outside patio, but were still able to appreciate the scenic view as we were under an awning. We were chartered to Sagaponack in a Mercedes van, which is the closest I will ever get to being a Real Housewife!! That alone made my day! Anyway, when we arrived at the vineyard – which is known for their rosé- we sipped wine, mingled, and took lots of photos. For lunch we had cous cous with poached lobster, kale salad with chicken, truffle corn flat bread, and an assortment of desserts. It was all so delicious! J.McLaughlin was so generous in not only gifting us an outfit, but a wicker bag as well. I will be religiously using my wicker bag all summer long. The entire day was wonderful, I feel very grateful to have been there. Check out my REELS from the event.

What I am watching: I binged watched the new Prime show The Summer I Turned Pretty, based off of the book trilogy with the same name. I have not read the books (yet) but I am a sucker for YA stories. I thought it was a cute show and can’t wait for there other seasons to come out.

Another show I watched was the American Film Institution’s Life Achievement Award ceremony for Julie Andrews. I am a massive Julie Andrews fan (Sound of Music is my favorite movie of all time), so thoroughly enjoyed this tribute. I thought the whole thing was so lovely and well done!

What I bought: I did not buy anything new this week, but I do have my eye on this mini dress to wear leisurely everyday. Also realized I do not own flat sandals anymore, so thought these were cute to wear while on vacation or when I am out in the Hamptons.

What To Wear On The 4th of July

4th of July Outfits From Amazon

This weekend I want to take it easy since the 4th of July is next weekend. I am flying home to Columbus on Thursday and am staying for a week. My cousin will be driving me back to the city the following weekend. So this weekend I want to leisurely enjoy myself; get a new book, frolic around the city, perhaps lay out at the park, watch Netflix, go for a run, and do skincare Sundays.

Have a wonderful weekend xo
